Not tried it on my PS3 but my PSP can connect without any problems even though I can't log into my profile using my Mac. I've tried downloading a video to see if it works, it is working but I've got 10MBs to download and it's estimating nearly 40 minutes.

It seems that people who were online when it went down are having no problems at all but if they sign out they can't get back in.

I'm surprised there's been no mention of it on the PlayStation Blog yet as they're usually fairly quick with this stuff.

I also tried logging into uk.playstation.com and that is also closed, for maintenance - must be something fairly big going on....?

I reckon millions have bought the go and they can't keep up with demand...

In other news, when the blog is up bombard the thrwad and demand better prices for prinny and badman.

I reckon we shouldn't be paying no more than £22 for a new release and £12 for an old one.

It seems like it's going to be pretty much impossible to exclusively stick to one region for buying PSP content. I was really keen to do this to avoid having to lock myself out of certain games every time I go on a trip.

However the stores are just too different. UK would be best for language and easy purchasing, but the actual content on offer is poor. There are some things I want that can ONLY be got there though (Pirates, Vagrant Story). PS classics are likely to be poorly optimised PAL versions too.

The US store has a better selection, but not everything - and sometimes the prices seem higher than in the UK. The general hassle and extra expense of getting a point card from a 3rd party makes me reluctant to use this store.

Japanese store also has some things I can't get on the other stores (Gitaroo Man, Um Jammer Lammy) and while some things are much cheaper (LBP) I would rather have them in english. Probably the easiest store to buy from though.

FFS Sony why did you have to put us in this position ><

This is what's stopped me so far from picking up any PS1 classics since I decided to limit myself to the UK store only. I don't mind slim pickings, because they're not games I'd play all that often, but the thought of playing a ****ty version when there's no logical reason why I would have to puts me right off.

Apparently (can't link to a source) these are the PREMIUM (paid) benefits for the PSN coming soon...

Not sure if these are confirmed or not, so guess it's "RUMOUR" for now?

Cross game voice chat costs money?

                        F*ck off.

I'd pay, read about this last week, seems good IMO.

Apparently they were survey options sent out recently, so not sure how likely it is that all (or even any) of them will turn out to be true. We'll see - if they add functionality for a premium (Though I agree cross game chat definitely shouldn't be one of those things) I won't have a problem, as long as they don't remove things I can already do for free.

Loads of those features seem close to impossible to achieve so I suspect the entire list is BS.

Barring cross game chat which should be standard, I'd pay for (all) those features, but I'm certain that hardly any if them will make it, especially free movie rental, free psone classics and discounts on pspmini's.

More than likely they will take features away that are allready standard and add one or two features from that list.
