Game - What is their policy regards to price matching?

Just wondering if its a 'depends on the store' thing or not?

And who they will match with if anyone?

    Also will they price-match Blu-rays?

Well the one in York refuses to price match supermarkets probably because everything is cheaper in Tesco.

But they'll price match other stores and to what degree?

My local one won't match Supermarkets, HMV, Virgin or PC World, that policy is a waste of space imo.

Mine say they will only match Gamestation.

They dont consider Wollies as competition so wont do them, odd as i went back to wollies and bought the item, surely that makes them direct competition!

Pfft. They might as well say: "We only match the prices given to us by GAME HQ.

What confuses me is its different in every store.

Just got to find a decent store.

The Plymouth branch once price matched HMV for me.

Gotta get that one in quotes.

Hold on, you say once, how many years back was this?

It wasn't that long ago actually. On a rare occasion when I didn't import, GAME price matched HMV's price of ?24.95 for Yoshi's Island DS. GAME had it priced at ?29.99.

Never really saw the point of price matching as a consumer, why didn't you just buy it in HMV? Game Reward points are hardly worth anything.

Also, have to laugh at them price matching Gamestation, its the same company!

                        Have they actually bought them?

I had a fiver's worth of points that I had built up, so they matched the price then took the ?5 off.
