Could you imagine what would happen if Micro$oft and and Sony got together and created a superhuman lovechild megaconsole? If you took the PS3's asthetics and robustness, combined with the 360's everything else, they could literally dominate the known universe.

As it stands however, we just have a "meh" for a next gen.

Everyone moans about 360 but I have left it on all day before now and not had issues. Glad to see its (ps3) robust though, My arm nearly fell off carrying it home!

Why no pics of the console setup in the different environments?
Where would they get someone to play games for nearly 240 hrs (10 days straight!) between the 3 tests?
Where would they get a freezer van and a sauna somewhere they would let them run for 4.5 days straight?
How does a site with almost none of their own content manage to pull this off?

I have no intention of watching Blu-rays in a freezer van or in a sauna so it doesn't really effect me in any way.

It'd be a hell of alot more believable than just saying they did it and using a pic of someone else smashing a PS3. Theres no proof at all there.

Ok, so maybe the "dust magnet coating" wasn't the best of ideas, but the colour and form certainly beats the **** out of any console MS have come up with.

I mean a WHITE plastic shell? HELLO? Mine has tiny black marks all over it - God only knows what state a heavy smoker has his/hers in.

I could never understand why people do this everytime a new console is released??? What's more worrying is that they do it and then seem to think they've actually achieved something when they do it!

To be honest though, I can't imagine the people who do this sort of thing really have much in life to benchmark what a life achievement really is!

Isn't the point of the person (not people) who smashes the console that he's trying to make a point to the imbeciles in the queue about the stupid consumerist society in which they live ?

He paid his money, he has his console and from that point can do whatever he wants with it - is he any worse than the tossers that try to make money from ebay ? nah - he's not as bad as them ironically enough.

Or have I missed something - was there loads of videos of people smashing PS3's ? I only saw the one........
