Isn't the point of the person (not people) who smashes the console that he's trying to make a point to the imbeciles in the queue about the stupid consumerist society in which they live ?

Wouldn't it make his point completely mute that he himself had to queue up to get one. Is it supposed to be ironic or just plain ****ing stupid, since the amount of money spent on the console he smashed could feed a family for over a month? I'm sorry but there are more intelligent ways to make a point than metaphorically burning cash.

I'm hedging bets on it being the latter.
