Total decimation of my favourite podcasting group. Here's hoping they're going to good places. I did begin to wonder why Itunes wasn't updating with any new podcasts.

Such a shame that it's come to the end. As mentioned 1 up yours was the perfect mix of educated game banter by a great bunch of guys.
I would also consider paying for a 1up show / yours package. The thing i liked most was that it never came across as corperate in any way.Comment

I always listened to them first, followed by OneLifeLeft & GiantBombcast & then maybe IGN if needed. What's everyone else going to listen to now?Comment

Giant Bombcast is really good. I only started listening to it after the 1up Christmas shows.
Idle Thumbs is supposed to be good. Gonna give that a try.Comment

Very good post, and I have to agree with him on all he says. In fact, I'd rather pay 2 quid for 1 Up Yours weekly podcast than the last Gervais one I bought on Monday...... certainly more entertaining.

I new something was up when the 1up Yours wasn?t on iTunes on Friday?.
Ever since the announcement last summer regarding the companies financial trouble some large shake up has been on the cards. Some people left last year, Shawn and Jeff being the two I really missed on the GFW podcast. But even though the inevitable has happened I still can?t really believe it.
I?ve been using the website for years, listening to both the 1up Yours and GFW podcasts. They are/were superb podcasts and made my lunch breaks something I really looked forward to, funny and informative at the same time. Not to mention the 1up Show which I also enjoyed greatly.
Such a great shame??.
For anyone looking for something else to listen to may I recommend Games with Jobs podcast. http://gamerswithjobs.com
I would say it?s almost as funny as GFW podcast. The guys have a great mix of personalities. Jeff Green got me onto it when he mentioned it on GFW once. Both him and Shawn have been on the podcast since leaving 1up.Comment

I've also just listened to the first episode of What They Play by John Davison, which was more of an introduction really as to who he is. The audio was fairly poor, but looking at the site, the newer podcasts are slightly better.Comment

Such a shame. I loved EGM back in the day - I read it around 1998-2001 - and I've listened to the podcasts and watched The 1UP Show for a couple of years now. What kind of week is a week without 1UP Yours, Retronauts, and The 1UP Show?
1UP was also my favourite gaming news site, and it won't be the same now. I know the staff was bloated, but this was like a cull.

The only podcast i could listen and laugh to, with them and the personalities that drove them 1up is dead to me.
If anyone can update this thread with where ever the lads end up from GFW or 1upyours, especially if its podcast related.Comment
