      When is the demo available in the U.K ???

      I read all about the negative OXC issue, and the immensely positive EDGE impressions. From what I gather, the OXC guy hasn't got a clue, and if an EDGE reviewer is showing enthusiasm, the game is probably good.

      I have high hopes.

                It looks like the visualisation thing you get when playing music on the 360, cos you can use the two sticks to move it around, only with a score and random nonsense jumping on screen.

                    apparently, after a fashion! I think thats what the 2/10 reviewers gripes were, that it was just totally obsurd and he didn't have a clue what was going on.

                    Thats probably because Jeff Minter wrote that as well.

                      A Eurogamer comments thread didn't sound promising from another person who'd played it either (presumably on Partnernet). Someone else came in to defend the game, saying it clicked after two hours of play, but that's hardly a glowing recommendation for an arcade shooter.

                      I'm hoping it's going to be good though. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

                          I'm dissapointed, I could clock Tempest on the Jaguar without losing a life, I shall make it my lifes mission to make you eat them words!!

                            Can someone tell me the generael idea and concept behind this game? Cause I'm looking at videos of this and it looks awesome yet I dunno what the idea is behind it.

                              I'm seriously looking forward to just zoning out on this. I've rearranged my HD and sound setup just now aswell due to new arrival of force feedback wheel, so giraffe will be stunning on the new arrangement.

                                It's a shooter, sort of like Tempest, only different. It's a bit tricky to explain how it's different (though the game does a good job through the tutorial), but it basically has a neat risk/reward type system, where rather than trying to keep the enemies away from the top of the web, you're actually trying to get as many there as possible so that you can ram them off. But that ability only works as long as you're shooting stuff too.

                                So you're sort of balancing out killing enemies to keep your ability to ram active while also letting them collect up so you can get big scores.

                                Yeah, it's tricky to explain

                                It vaguely reminds me of Psyvariar, in that you're actually trying to avoid shooting stuff as much as possible in order to build up multipliers. It's sort of turning Tempest on its head.
