Since nearly all of the criticism of Lair is due to its atrocious controls, you'd think Factor 5 would be rushing to release a patch for purely analogue control..? Can't be that hard, can it? I'm amazed that there's no option to disable Sixaxis anyhoo, it must've showed up as a problem in testing *sinister hidden agenda*

Really nice Tron retrospective (film, games, cultural impact) in the retro section. Kudos. Me likem lots.

If they do the patch to sticks they're admitting that their sixaxis technology is ****e so I don't think it'll happen.

Is Sonic Rush Adventure really as ungreat as folks are saying? It's a pressie for my gals b-day and so I really don't want it to be shat.

Gotta love that Skate score, only spent an hour or so on it but it's blowing my socks off thus far.

skate good then? kinda been under the radar for me tbh. Lair, id pick it up tbh if it wasnt plagued with crappy controls when I tried it in the states. The game sadly has a fair few bugs in it that ruin the enjoyment as well - ah well.

Not had any problems with skate personally, plus the controls are sublime

lair has got the panning it deserves because the controls are unresponsive and don't always do what you tell them and it seems to be full of missions ripped straight out of there star wars games escort the big whale ship thing knock out the magical shield ect ect.

its very telling that the two big flagship titles for six axis motion control haven't quite hit the mark with lair being pants and warhawk having its motion control relegated to a non default quirky option.

I dont know how good Sonic Rush Adventure is having not played it, but considering the fact that the review states that "like most sequels its wattered down and bloated" and yet on the very next page in the Sega Rally review they say somthing to the effect of "most sequels are better than the original game" I dont think you should put much weight in that review anyway.

Think the general thing is if you liked the first game you will like Sonic Rush adventure.

Just picked up my copy of the new look Games TM. Had a quick browse and to me it looks neat and tidy enough. Change can be a good thing sometimes and Games TM certainly needed it. It feels fresher, a more important feel to it. I've got nearly every single Issue of Games TM and have always been a fan. I never take their reviews (or anyones tbh) too much to heart as Ive always felt my own opinion is worth more or to be fair the First Play impressions on here are pretty good views to go by on. Also, I was suprised to see the 50p increase in the price of the mag. Good I job I had more then ?4 on me on this occasion. Anyway, my point is well done to the guys at Games TM, I still love your mag. Keep up the good work.

PS: Was nice to see a preview of the new Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 game as im pretty sure they haven't covered any of the series before? Also, very chuffed to see that Fire Pro Returns is getting a US and maybe even a PAL release (First time ever this series has made it out of Japan from what I gather) in time for Christmas. That's awesome.

I had a quick flick through the magazine in WHSmiths today. Have to say I don't think the design change is that radical, at least not from my memories of the magazine when I subscribed in 2004.

I'm tempted to get the this ish to contrast the Halo 3 and Corruption reviews, but usually I never read either magazine properly if I get more than one a month... (I'm an EDGE subscriber).

Scores seem a lot more sensible than Edge's recent escapades. Good to see.

Hope so, she did love the first.

Just bought the mag. Odd review, they didn't really dwell on any positive elements of the game, so even an average 5 seemed generous. They also called the prequels level design 'immaculate', which it weren't. Bloody pitfalls.

I kind of like the new look. Hardly worth 50p more though, and it is a bit sterile. What's wrong with a bit o' colour and pizazz? Bring back CVG circa the 'High Five' era...that's what I say.

Yes and no. Do you believe Metroid Corruption warrants a 9?
