    Less than that mate.

Mine came to about £140 and that's WITH an SDHC card I think?

And yes, they're very, very much worth buying. I use mine almost exclusively for Super Hang-On at the moment!

£90 on play-asia. Add you're preferred shipping and then a £20-30 customs charge.

Mine was £150 total, with shipping, 4GB SDHC card, case and customs charge.

Arrived last Friday, and still not had a chance to use it as I've been working lol. But day off tomorrow, so I should get a chance.

Really pissed off that it runs of AA batteries though!

      And is Payback any good?

        No idea. Not tried it.

What I DO recommend for all, is grabbing noiz2sa.

        Lovely shmup.

Not heard of that one Silvergun - linkage? Screens?

As for price, PA are doing it for about £85. I didn't get charged customs myself.

4GB SD cards are now under a tenner at Play.com...I've got two, one is actually a Toshiba card with a Play.com sticker over the top, the other is a blank unbranded card.

I'm playing fan-translated versions of Langrisser 2 and Monster World V on the Megadrive at the moment...amazing scenes.

As for the AA battery debate, I suggest you check this little gadget out. Charges pretty quickly and I can even charge from the GP2X cradle! I got one the other week and it works like a dream. Only £10.99, too.

So how long are you getting out of them before they need a recharge man?

And how long do they take to charge up?

Noiz2sa was quite a well known little PC shmup that was ported to both the Dreamcast and the GP32 before it was ported to the GP2X.

The PC version is there if you want to try it out.

The GP2X version is on the GP32x file database.

Anything 2500mAh and upwards. Using 2750mAh ones at present, average lifetime if on constant is about 10~12 hours. Lovely little blighters. Energizer ftw.

                      Really though?

I read an article that said that the high capacity ones have very high self-discharge rates (ie. lose their capacity very quickly).

Not at all in my experience. Been using these exact same batteries for about 11 months now for my Digital Camera and other odds and sods, and they seem to be able to hold the same charge. Obviously, I don't hold a chargometer =] But from my experience, they're still lasting a good 10 hours before needing to be slapped back in.

Besides, why go for a lower capacity battery? You'll be swapping them over every other hour - as I first found out with a pair of 1200mAh's

So what kind do you use, how much are they and what charger do you use?

I use 2700 batteries from GP. (The smallprint on the batteries says 2600..)

I get about 2-3 hours from both sets for applications that requires a small amount of overclocking.

Running at 200mhz I can sometimes get as much as 4.5 hours if lucky.

I have 2 sets, and 4-8 hours is enough for my needs.

                              Ok cheers for the help.

Not sure wether I want to spend money on batteries though, this GP2X has already cost me £150!
