Got a few bundles in Game in Hull, usual rip off £250 pound with some very dire games, or pay more and get even more dire games.

I'd only want a Wii with Mario if I ever bought one. Ive got Zelda on Gamecube, same with Resi Evil so that leaves one game worth having.

Mate went into southend highstreet yesterday and apparently every shop that could sell wii's, had plenty in stock all of a sudden. No one fighting for them either . That could all change today of course.

They seem to be appearing more regurally now.

My guess for why stock seems to have imporved is that it's too late for people to sell them on eBay to arrive in time for Christmas.

RE4 is worth a re-visit on the Wii as it has better controls (+ gamecube support if you dont like wii controls) more content (Seperate ways - Adas own take on the story/game about 3 hours long) and an extra suit and gun both of which are awesome.

Also if you're only looking for AAA titles then you won't find much on any console. Theres plenty decent games to be found: Mario strikers charged, metroid prime 3, super paper mario, warioware, resi evil umbrella chronicles, battalion wars 2, guitar hero 3 (if you havent got a PS3 or Xbox 360) etc.
Not to mention the superb Virtual console

What's wrong with people? Buy Mario Galaxy - a proper Mario game which is far better.

                      (Woah, huuuge link!)

This was our most asked for game in the week leading up to christmas, people looking all over the town for it, number 1 in the charts the week before, and if anyone actually had it in stock I'm sure it would have been Christmas number one aswell. Also the most asked for game after Christmas.

As good as Galaxy is, it doesn't make for great group entertainment round the christmas table like the olympics does.

Yeah where I work we got asked loads for it too. It's been years since SEGA were at the top with one of their games at christmas, but they still manage to balls it up WITH Nintendo for the lack of copies on shelves. Maybe they didn't expect it to do so well?

I'm sure NiGHTS 2 will sell by the bucket load too. (sarcasm)

I think that line sums up the Wii perfectly, and not just the machine. Trauma Center, Paper Mario, Mario Party (after the recall hullabaloo) . . . So many wii games this year we had dificulty obtaining restocks once our initial order ran out.

I had no bother getting hold of mario and Sonic, and Sega said they hoped to sell 4 million worldwide before the end of 2007 in a press release i saw, so they knew it was going to be a hit.

The issues i had was getting hold of Endless Ocean. After not finding an in stock copy from any of my trusted online retailers and even asking here i had to pay over the odds to get it from a certain auction site.

Makes me wonder how that managed to be in the Wii chart and why more copies were not pressed. I wonder if we will see more copies show up when it gets released in the USA in a couple of months.

It's reasons like this third parties are staying away from Wii, thinking the third party stuff is not selling, when it's simply supply.

House sitting in london next week and am looking to buy a wii once there. Any ideas of the best place to get one. I figure the big shops on oxford street will probably be out of stock but any indie places like CEX around?
