    The SNES.

But Virtual Boy cartridges are the best carts ever.

      Another NGPC fan here

I really do like the packaging that the carts came in (especially the hard cases). And the handheld itself is just lovely. Need to get more games for it.

As for non-handhelds, it has to be the SNES although I've always fancied buying a PC Engine or a Neo Geo AES.

Has to be the Japanese Megadrive with it's small cute rounded cartridges.

Sadly no. I passed-up on the option to get it for about ?300 a while ago, fool that I am.

The massive size and massive weight of the Neo Geo homes carts were a true status of hardcore IMO...

I so regret getting rid of mine, twice over!

I love the original text based famicom carts. A classic consistant design.

Anyone remember those official plastic cases you could get for SFC games? They were very cool. I think they came in a range of colours, but I only ever saw yellow. They had the SFC logo on, and were very much in the same style as GBA cases, to stop the cardboard originals getting soiled.

Did anyone ever have any, or can anyone find pics of them?

I was very partial to the curved Megadrive carts. I like curves...

It also looks like MD and I actually agree on something for once. I think the world is about to end.

The original NEC PC Engine has been, and always will be, my favourite videogame system ever.

Very close second is the Japanese megadrive; like MD says, the carts are just so damn cute!

i quite like the neo geo pocket carts as well its like there mini neogeo games and the coulour instrucions little cases and clamshell boxs just round of the package, the original gameboy carts used to have the stikers way to high up and i had quite a few with labels that were rubed of, im extra carefull now though.

what makes me cross is the lack of little cases for gba games, they cost that bloddy much in the uk, and all we get is a stupid oversized boxs (think of the size of cartridges) its all the gbcolours fault ft:

has any one seen the jaguar version of raiden it has a really weired handle bar thing on top of it

Indeed it is, can I have your Japanese game collection whilst we wait for it to end?

I had that - was it the one where you only had to win one game and you were presented with this crappy cup?!?!

1 stinking game and that was it!
