Being chased by a clown with only a teddy bear and a traffic cone for protection.

I didn't like the flying section at the end of DMC...Capcom do have a tendency to stick a random level at the end of a game that seems to be totally out of place.

I have to say I totally disagree with the 4th disk of Shenmue...I thought it was an amazing transition from the manic endurances that you had encountered previously in the game to come to an relaxing finale - totally original. Strolling through the forest, getting to know Shenhau - the first girl you ever saw in the game. I was brimming with questions for that girl!

That disk was the first ever 'get to know' em up

He shall come from a far Eastern land...

for me is definitely is 2nd Disc of Xenogears... thats where i start hate squaresoft so bad, took the budget of the game to release FFVIII(and not even that great).. from a almost perfect RPG turn to a novel or half done game.

recently i play Heavenly Sword, the last Boss fight is very taking the piss as well!!!!

I never knew the reason Xenogears (one of my all-time favourite games) was emasculated because of the vacuous borefest that is FFVIII (one of my all-time least favourite games).

I hate FFVIII even more now.

Bioshock, I know people hate the ending etc. but the bit that really stuck in my side was

the huge huge huge missed opportunity with the becoming a big daddy. I understand their hand was forced etc.

but it was such a missed opportunity that it made me a very sad panda.

I can think of more games but i'll write them up later, excellent thread!

                Spoiler:

The way turning into a big daddy was so nonchalantly presented to the player; put on a suit, spray some deodorant etc. They could of made so much more of the dehumanizing process until you're basically a machine. It would of been a nice twist if it had all been the the German lady's plan to punish Jack. Or she may have just gone a little nutty and run out of victims to make into Big daddys. Fountain even hinted that it was a trap and that there was "no turning back", audio diaries etc. pointed towards some irreversible operation to turn you into a big daddy but in the end you just put on a suit. Maybe it's me running away with some dreamy idea but I definitely got the impression that was the way it was heading

The horse riding moments of Shadow of the Colossus. I'm mostly okay with them, but one or too Colossi were a bugger to find. Which made the 'not in control of the horse mechanic' a bit of a 'MARE.

Also, I felt these sections got a little too much praise for conveying isolation. It is not hard to convey isolation in a videogame.

Awesome game though, it often gets played just to re-live some of the epic Colossi moments. Like when the giant bird one swoops down at you...never fails to bring on a gasp. Amazing soundtrack, too.

                    More bioshock spoilyness

Well you weren't really a big daddy, just a bloke in a suit. I agree, to save the day you should have had to become a big daddy for real. I will also never forgive the crappy ending...pfft
