BIA Hell's Highway was in playable state 2 years ago at the Leipzig Games Convention and i have no clue about what delayed this game so much. but i am sure the game will be called outdated by the special media. just have look at the recent Eurogamer hands-on you get the idea.

Aliens Colonial Marines is a different story though as there aren't much great Alien games around and most of all a contemporary First Person Shooter based on the Aliens film is long overdue. as long as the game will make it by the end of 2009 i will be happy.

i hope this wont be going the same road as the last Brother in Arms. this was postponed several times and eventually turned out as outdated and incomplete.

Sega in their infinite wisdom have cancelled the Aliens RPG. I just pray this survives.

SEGA want to keep both games alive , they just 'may' not be made by the original developers , and to say the truth , SEGA isn't at fault for Gearbox miss management and scheduling . Its all very messy and no doubt will end up inthe courts

They lost their lead engineer to Microsoft just after Brothers in Arms shipped and they also sacked a bunch of the staff working on Aliens, so it's clearly entered troubled waters. Same thing happened with Brothers in Arms TBH - they said they were struggling with the PS3 due to never having worked on any Sony platform before, but it's clear when you compare the end result to what they promised during development, that there was some real indecision and lack of vigour at the top design level.

AvP sales will determine how soon Colonial Marines is released (I hope AvP does well then).

Gearbox Software's squad-based shooter Aliens vs. Colonial Marines may or may not arrive by the end of 2010. It all depends on how well Rebellion's Aliens vs. Predator does.

"What I would say is it's unlikely that we'd launch anything within six months [after Aliens vs. Predator], but probably nine months, eight to 12 months possibly. Though we literally are looking at that at the moment and a lot of is going to depend, as well, on how successful AvP is at the box [retail]." said Sega president and COO Mike Hayes in a chat with G4TV. Sega is the publisher of both games.

sounds like a cheap trick to get the fanbase to buy both Alien games. but to be honest i feel it's more like being blackmailed.
