Never played any of the PS2 SOCOM games, but when Warhawk launched I read a lot of comments from people who really wanted the clan/party support to match up to what SOCOM provided, so it seems to have a decent pedigree.

Definitely keeping an eye on it. Visuals look nice as well.

For a PSN title, that is a good looking game and hopefully the talent behind this will do the series good and build up some excitement for the 'proper' SOCOM game by Zipper, whenever it will be revealed.

What are the odds it will cost ?19.99 just like WarHawk?

        Looking nice!

Hopefully it will prove to be as much fun as my GRAW sessions have been.

Looking forward to this. Could be the game to finally pry me away from COD4.

Ooooooooh looks good. SOCOM 2 on the PS2 was fantastic fun online, this should be another bloody good addition to the PSN.

PSN is becoming the PS3s strongest asset right now isn't it? It's kinda ironic given they were the last to really do a download marketplace properly, that they have by far the best software for it atm.

Kinda makes sense to release an online only game on a download only service though. I never really bothered with SOCOM online, mainly because the Ps2 was an arse to get online, it was really popular in the states wasn't it?

If this is decently priced as Warhawk and is stable as Warhawk online then count me in. Had many a great crack testing these games in the past. It's looking quite sweet too.

Sick of PSN games that look like I might like but I'm not sure of.

I dont usually have nice things to say about Sony online but the fact they dont have any of these stupid download limits and the fact they own good studios means the PSN is gonna be way ahead of XBL in terms of high quality games.

I'll be buying this just to play Crossroads again, wish it had Fish Hook and Frostfire too.

A little more info regarding the type of special forces you can play as, but only if you join a clan...

a 32 player forstfire would just be mental most matches on that map were over in mins due to its small size but with 32 players crammed into the map it would be all over in seconds
