SOCOM: Confrontation (PS3 - PSN)

Looking around I've seen Feb 5th mentioned. So Thursday? I'm sure Sony would have mentioned it by now.

Whether I get it now or later depends on price. I don't think it'll get much of a look in while I hammer KZ2, so I'm tempted to wait until I can give SOCOM the attention it deserves. Let's see the price. I'm hoping £15, given the headset retail SOCOM is only £29 online.

Wasn't it scheduled for the end of Feb? Either way, putting it out near Killzone 2 seems like suicide.

Yep. It may cost a sale from me, and if KZ2 keeps me going a while, it's possible I'll never get it.

It seems to be the end of March in most shops.

I have to admit that I'd be tempted to re-buy the UK version if it contained the 12TBs of downloaded patches on the disc that the US version has had since release.

Assuming it sells well enough to survive on EU player base alone (Which it might, being bundled with the headset) then I think a delay into March might not be a bad thing. I'd always intended to pick it up from the PSN at some point anyway - I know I'd barely play it if I went for the disc version.

This game is flawed in so, so many ways. It's also my favourite online shooter ever. For some reason I'm prepared to totally look past all it's flaws whereas usually I'm a total bastardo about bugs in games.

Is there any word on when this is getting a PAL PSN release?

I know it's out in shops tomorrow but I really want the download to play it straight from the hard drive.
