The best fighting game ever?

Do you guys remember Ramna Half part two on the snes. I looked under every stone for that when it was out. When i finally got it i felt like all my dreams were shattered. it was gash!

Didn't help that magazines at the time were giving it great reviews.

Bloody Roar is a superb game. As is Bloody Roar 2. They might not be the most technical of fighters, but so what?

IK+, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, SF2, Soul Calibur, Tekken 3, Pocket Fighter, Rival Schools 2, Marvel vs Capcom, Turtles: Tournament Fighter, all lovely jubbly. I even used to spend hours on end playing Bug Byte's Kung Fu on the Spectrum. I was truly amazed by that game at the time ha ha

I'd have to say Mortal Kombat or Smash Bros. That may seem unbelievable to some, but I'm not the hardcore sort who wants to spend hours memorising the finest details of moves and counters and the like (not that I think people who do are wasting their time - it's just not my thing), and those are the fighting games I've personally had the most fun with over the years.

I've been ploughing a lot of time into SFII Turbo on the VC as its absolutely brilliant.
I wish you could play that on-line...

i used to love bruce lee on the spectrum & c64 (more recently gp2x), a platform kung foo game which had the option of player 2 being the mighty yamo who's sole duty was to mess up player 1 in doing the level.

not enough games have explored the anti co-op 2p feature.

my sister used to use Yamo solely to kick the crap out of me and offered no assitance at all in the quest.
