Added a few more now and it was a really nice surprise to find a Geoman game on there!!

John, I didn't realise you wreer doing this from scratch. I am fairly sure the JPN playstation website has a full filterable list of all PS1 games.

It does but it the vast majority of the games aren't listed in English. I'm doing this so people (including me) know what those games are called and can look up details online for them if their interested in them.

There seems to be loads of sites online that list them in the original language but I've spent ages looking for one that translates the titles without having any luck.

Luckily the Hong Kong site has some of the same game titles listed in English which has made it quite a bit quicker doing some of them.

I second this. Especially when i use to browse them through the Japanese Alphabet.

No problem, I think it needed to be done and I imagine it'll all be up to date by the end of the bank holiday weekend apart from the odd game people just aren't able to track down.

I've got quite a few to get through and once I've done what I can I'll start sticking pictures up again for help but I'm finding it easier to get through them now without everybody posting what the games are called.

I've saved all the info that people have put here so it'll still get used.

To be honest I'm doing it for purely selfish reasons as I want to know what these games are myself. It was really nice to find Geoman listed as I'd not noticed it before. it reminds me what it used to be like when loads of my mates would import Japanese games due to them being out months earlier over there and then sitting there slowly trying to work through them before things like this were made so much easier by the internet.

It does take a bit of time because I have about 4 windows open on my PC as I'm making the icons and I have to flick between the JP & HK store on the PS3 to find some of the games and then go back to the JP store to find out where they are listed.

It's taking time but it'll be worth it in the end and it'll be easy enough to keep up to date each week then.

People still need to be looking for mistakes in what I've done though as I noticed that I'd listed a couple with the wrong names over the weekend. Once it's finished it'll be worth people keeping an eye on what's on the store as it's more than likely that I've missed some of the games out too.

John, any you are unsure of, pop the Japanese text (cut and paste) it onto the forum and I (or someomne else) can give it a go.

i'm guessing you copied the same title for the last two games by mistake. one of them is sea fishing, the other is probably fresh water fishing or something, it's too small to read from here. anyway, these are just my translations, so no idea if this is what they are usually called in english

I'll re-check those fishing games again as there must be differences between the titles.

I know just working from a direct translation doesn't necessarily give you the correct name but it does give me more to search for the correct details on.

From the details you gave for the last games I was able to find out that the Crash Bandicoot game was actually Crash Bash over here.

Thanks Steve, I've had that problem when quoting stuff on here too.

I've found this site which should come in useful too. I'll start adding some of the games that I have names for now and see what's left after that.
