What has everyone been playing this week?

Resonance of Fate on PS3 and SSFIV at a preview play event today. Good times. Everyone who likes fighters absolutely should pick this up on release, it's too good.

Been playing Final Fight: Double Impact, very nice retro package, though I don't recommend randomly taking it online, I was just sat merrily playing in singleplayer and someone dropped into the game and just started mashing buttons constantly hitting me as well as enemies.

Also been washing it down with some Wipeout HD and Outrun Online Arcade. So a very laid back weekend not got a lot of time atm for gaming

Splinter Cell: Conviction, that is all. It thoroughly deserves the good reviews it has been getting and I don't understand the Gears of War or "it's not Splinter Cell" comments. It has diverted from the standard formula a little but it is still most definitely a Splinter Cell game.

Ok so here is what i've been playing
Sam and Max : The Devil's PlayHouse on the PS3 which i love have not played a sam and max game since my old PC gaming days with Sam and Max : Hit the Road that has to be one of my most played games ever so far thats outing is shapeing up good , so thats my only PS3 game the rest of my gaming time has been spent on my Itouch the games on there have been Sword Of Fargoal, Mega man 2 , Bejeweled 2 (this is my more played game on my itouch so far my time spent playing this is up to 59 hours )and the transformers G1 awakening game ok this last has been the free demo of it but i do really like what i'm playing so far ok thats it

Finally gotten around to starting this, only about a quarter of the way through but so far it seems far better judged than Megaman 9.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Just had an hour or so, settling back into the play ahead of the map release next month.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
There's some cheapness to some of the enemy attacks in this thing but so far it doesn't seem so bad.

Sam and Max: Season 2 - Beyond Time and Space
Just started Episode 2 in order to catch up for Season 3, so far it's business as usual as it's just like the first season in every way. Liking it though.

Splinter Cell: Conviction
Pretty ho-hum so far. It's not bad but the days when this was a serious alternative to MGS are long gone.

Resonance of Fate
Still. Clocked up about 23 hours now...Something I rarely manage with a JRPG. It really is a lovely mix of neat gameplay ideas and wondrous visual touches. Great orchestral soundtrack too, actually. Ace stuff.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!
Absolutely love this to the max. Probably the first story-heavy import game I've ever played. But despite not having the foggiest during the dialogue scenes, any action heavy scene still achieves 100% epicness thanks to the international language of punching. It's Yakuza, with the same faults and the same things that make it so ruddy spesh, but made even better by the setting. I'm a sucker for anything historic Japan flavoured, and seeing the cast of the modern day games act out some kind of awesome play in these lush settings is just too much goodness. Think it might be my favourite of the series. Love the sword fights, too.

Finally, been playing bits of Phoenix Wright 3 on me breaks.

Assassins Creed 2
Been dipping in and out of this for the past 3 months which has been pretty fine apart from forgetting the buttons for the combat each time (seem to just hammer the double blade stab attack mostly as a result). Venice is very nicely mapped out, but the carnival didn't meet my expectations (unless this kicks off big style later on). Need to hunt down the tombs and codex pages at some point instead of focusing on the story missions which are feeling rather samey now. Its great in small doses though.

Not really modern but I've been having a blast on the Night Slashees X Beat's of Rage mod for PC (Also works on the original XBOX). Blood and Guts galore in this pretty good walk along beat'em up. Well worth a try. easily up there with professionally made games. Many Beat's of Rage mods really are piss poor but this one just goes to show how it should be done along with the Final Fight and Golden Axe mods.

Well worth a try. easily up there with professionally made games. EDIT I'm certain that there is no current XBE/PAK file for this, so it looks like PC only. Unless Yakumo knows something I don't?

Still FF XIII although I've cut down to short sessions every other day.

Most of my time for the last two weeks or so was occupied with re-starting and this time finishing Super Mario Galaxy. Still 16 stars unaccounted for though.

Finally got round to entering my VIP code for the extra maps. Still enjoyable and will go on for the ocassional 1hr play or so.

Dragon Age : Origins

This has utterly sucked me in. Finding loads of stuff I missed during my first not quite to the end play. Like the characters loads more and now I've more familiar with how it works the enjoyment has increased massively.

Playing with Ali, Sten and Morrigan. The interchange between the 3 is great.

Wait until you get to Chapter 6, then you'll be in trouble.

I've been playing DariusBurst a whole lot. Still can't 1cc it to get the Origin ship. I'll get there.

Given up on Dante's Ripoff. Utter ****e!! Got to "Lust" and did the boss there but just found it borderline ridiculous with it's labia-monsters and suchlike.

Played FIFA for 4 hours earlier. Finished my first full season as Man Utd and came top of the league by 16 points. Got some awesome Japanese players like Honda, Nakamura and Morimoto and at the start of season 2 I'm looking to sign Hasebe from Wolfsburg.

Sold Berba and Scholes for decent cash and Anderson because he annoys me.

Looking to get Bale from Spurs and Clichy from Arsenal for a steal.

Just waiting for SSFIV to land. Damn, next Friday is too far away!!

I've not tried it myself but the readme file says for PC or Xbox. I know that on the PC it looks as if the game has hung while doing the initial load at the start but if you wait about 30 seconds the loading will resume.
