It's easily in my top 10 of all time. I only wish I'd played it back in 1997.

Anyway, this week I've been playing...
KoF '99 - I love some of the combos you can pull off with the strikers. Andy is amazing in this one too. This is probably my favourite after '98. There's no real need to go back to XI, also '99 gets more play from the regulars.
Strikers 1945 II - I've hit a brick wall with Shienryu so giving it a break as I'm just wasting credits on it now. I think I prefer this, I'm still trying to work out my favourite aircraft but I like the shielding some of the specials give. They have the first and the third games here as well but I've yet to try those.
Shienryu - I can almost 1life my way up to stage 5, and then the **** hits the fan totally.
Initial D: Arcade Stage 5 - I'm still ****, and I don't have a clue what the menus say, but the drifting is immense.

After an unsuccessful attempt at 3D Dot Game Heroes I'm now on:
Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves
Playing the multiplayer mainly on the newer DLC maps. The highrise map is brilliant and it's great throwing the characters around the environments again. Awesome stuff.
Final Fantasy XIII
Just approaching Chapter 5 now and I've warmed to it. The clear corridor nature is too heavily done and I'm starting to see what people meant with Vanille but other than that it doesn't seem as bad as was being made out.

Finished up DeathSpank (All trophies and all quests completed) earlier in the week.
Started MediEvil last night, which is a game I always like the look of but never bought. It seems quite interesting, but the camera and controls are proving cumbersome on the PSP. I also played a little Alien Zombie Death and Blast Off (Both PSP minis) which were fun.
Finally Zen Pinball, which I really enjoyed. Going to check out some of the DLC tables as well.
Screw the haters, I'm loving PlayStation Plus.

You mean SCEE Cambridge Studios MediEvil featuring failed knight Sir Dan Fortesque's attempts to win a place in the Hall of Heroes?
If so, that's was a great little game I loved playing on the PS when it first came out. Brimming with a very British sense of humour and charming atmosphere too. The animation looked a bit crude but it was still full of character.
Only thing wrong for me were some of the controls. The basic movement was OK but I remember the Jump function had a slow response time. Add in some collision detection and camera issues and it made the more precise platforming elements more frustrating than they should have been.
MediEvil 2 is entertaining too but I didn't enjoy it as much as the original.

Yeah, it was a part of this months PlayStation Plus content so I thought I'd give it a try. Not sure why I never bought it, because I remember playing and enjoying the demo when it first came out.
It all runs fine, and I watched the opening cinematic last night and it occurred to me how awesome it must have looked 10 years ago. As I say it's a little clumsy on the PSP (Camera control is on the nub) and there's no real lock on system (Despite it seeming to suggest there is...), but it still seems enjoyable enough.
Hit the boss in the mausoleum last night and didn't have a clue how to even damage him. I wasn't brave enough to start a First Play thread, although I'd like to.
