I have been playing:

Dead Island on the Xbox 360 - About 12 hours in and still enjoying it. I have had various Xbox 360 issues this year and a continuing battle with Microsoft to gt things sorted, but finally I think I'm good. As a result of this that 12 hours has been since Christmas day in short bursts, but hopefully now I can sink more time into it.

Burnout Crash: Great fun to kill an hour with. Having great battles with friends for high scores.

Everybody's Golf PSP: Always fun to play and never gets dull.

Gradius/Salimander packs on Sega Saturn: Great old school shooter action

Wow got through quiet a lot of Metroid Prime in a short space of time tonight, just about to get the gravity suit no idea what it looks like when you start off with the Fusion suit. Anyway this is my favourite music in the game.

My question is: Is Catherine worth getting? I've read about it and had it on my wish list for months. But is it just another one of these off-centre games that are rightly applauded for being different from the mainstream but actually aren't that brilliant?I do know I'm not going to pay the ?42+ my local GAME is asking.

Bah, it is rubbish Kit! Looks pretty and all but the gameplay feels far too heavy and clunky in comparison to DMC3. What pad are you playing with? I have it on the 360 and the Dpad was as unreliable as always when it came to using Dante

Ah, see what you mean about the d-pad bit - just got to the part where you play as Dante. Feels like most of those moves would be better served if they were just integrated into general gameplay/movement, and not separate on the d-pad. Have to say though I do really like the 'trickster' mode where Dante shoots at different angles.

I've been playing this for a few weeks now with 3 other friends it's good fun shooting zombies but I am not really feeling myself drawn to the storyline.

Yeah it is just a bit awkward when you are trying to be fancy switching styles on the go and the D-pad lets you down. Did you play DMC3 at all? Always have that in my top ten game lists
