Getting a little bored with Silent Hill 3.

Go in building check all doors and all floors for clues > cut scene > go back through same building now draped in nightmare/hell skin and populated by nasties. Add in the annoying camera which with the narrow corridors regularly gets you unecessarily damaged or forced to waste ammo and the experience does sometimes become more of a tiresome slog than an exciting horror adventure. This is definitely a step down from SH2.

I'm wondering now why I bought SH4:The Room widely accepted as being the least good in the series.

Never found that a problem myself. I hardly shot most enemies, especially not the fat nappy men. The atmosphere was fantastic and the plot was great if you had played the first game. Loved SH3.

My favourite in the series mainly for the way the plot ties into SH1 and also for the amazing soundtrack which is probably my 2nd favourite VG OST ever (behind Chrono Trigger!)

Still playing Final Fantasy XII, 55 hours or so in and i'm feeling a little burnt out on it. The last 15 hours have dragged a bit i have to say, i really enjoyed the first 30-40 though which is why i'm determined to stick with it until the end

Cool area that. The game took me around 60 hours to complete first time around. It does pad out in places but the world was so well designed it didn't bother me.

I have the International Zodiac Job System version to play through at some point.

Forgot to put in my post.

Lego Batman on the DS, about 11 hours playtime, all the Hero and Villain Story modes completed, I will pick it up again sometime, but no major rush to Freeplay all the game again.

Beat Sonic Adventure 2. By the end it was clear this is the one where the series jumped the shark, so to speak. If I was to pinpoint the exact moment I'd say it was when Shadow the Hedgehog started talking about his love for a (human) woman.

Managed to complete Powerstone as well. The second to last boss was an absolute nightmare to beat. Cracking game.

Also played a tiny bit of the Code Veronica battle mode. Totally forgot this game had a first person mode.

Ah Powerstone is awesome and the second game is pretty good as well use to play it for ages on the Dreamcast.

I'm currently playing Tales of the Abyss on the 3DS loving it so far. Also made me want to play Tales of Vesperia again. Looking forward to getting Kingdom of Amalur on Friday though

Still working through my PS3 backlog which has led me to starting up Two Worlds II. I'm unsure if I'll stick with it as I'm unsure how I feel about it. So far it's a bit clunky but nowhere near as flawed as I'd heard, quite pretty in parts too. Not feeling very compelled by it yet though.

Battlefield 3's single player campaign, found it quite forgettable and not a patch on Bad Company 2's.

Finished Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth last weekend. There's some truly nasty moments of game design in there, with bad placement of save points, a crap insanity mechanic and the nutty healing system being the worst offenders. But despite all this, I couldn't help but love it a wee bit...maybe even a lot. It's genuinely creepy, and what's especially brilliant is that you're character is a detective, and therefore instead of signposting the bejeezers out of everything, the game just leaves you to work things out. The first hour after the prologue, when you arrive in Innsmouth and are left to investigate and explore every nook of the town is proper magic. There's some really creative scenarios throughout, and the story was good enough for me to put up with some madly frustrating moments. It might be considered crap, but I liked it.

Moved on to Fable 3 and have just been made king. Really enjoying the main story and characters, and while there's plenty of gimmicks or quirks to get hung up on, the good stuff is too good for me to be that irked. The journey through Aurora was awesome.

Spent an hour playing Super Meat Boy last night trying to do The Kid level.
                                It is HORRIBLE.
Managed the first stage then gave up on the 2nd as my eyes had turned to pixels.
