-Modern Warfare 3, small dribs and drabs at the moment but approaching another Prestige so might get a dose of addiction again.
-Batman Arkham City, good but not great so far. Well made and solid entry but weaker in some aspects than Asylum and over praised by the mags.

      Grinding through Torchlight on XBLA.

Having belatedly picked up a PS3, I've been going through MGS4 (an hour! the final cutscene lasted an hour!) and am now on to Heavy Rain.

Also replaying Starcraft II on hard difficulty. Good Christ, the Welcome to the Jungle level was several orders of magnitude tougher than it was on easy.

Yeah - It's so near being a very good game.. it's just turned out to be 'alright-ish'

Story of my life. Grinding fame to get last achievement was one of my most boring gaming tasks this year.

Right now I'm trying to get last three achievements in Zoids Infinity EX Neo on Xbox 360. Someone that was in charge of designing achievements for this game was little too harsh - it's pure grind (you need to get set amount of kills against certain zoid), and after 50 hours of playing I still haven't 1K'd it.

I have reached that part in my gaming life that I can't really be bothered to waste my time grinding for achievements, too many good games to play.

Finished Arkham City last week. Just...man...really boring. I can see it's a really well made game, but I just found the lumpen city environment a real chore to navigate, and went out of my way to avoid the fights and all the side-doodads just to finish the thing. It takes itself way too seriously and just isn't much fun.

Moved on to an Xbox Indie called Blocks That Matter, which is totally delightful. Just full of really clever level design, but what really appeals to my inner-nerd are the secret blocks in each level that reference gamings best loved cubes. Took me bloody ages to find the indie section on the dashboard...will definetly check out some more games now I've found it.

I started Ace Combat Ass' Horizon too. Which I wasn't expecting much from, but it's actually amazingly good fun, and the way it shifts through various gameplay styles, mechanics and viewpoints is done really nicely.

Yeah, sometimes I have same thoughts, but after paying for a game I always make sure I did everything I could to maximize time spent with that single title. Having gaming related job helps too, since there are weeks when I play a lot of different titles at work so occasional grinding at home doesn't hurt as much .

I'm dragging myself through The Shivering Isles in Oblivion, still trying to force myself into liking it seeing as I paid so much for the bastard.

                        I want a laptop.

                        I want Diablo 3.

I want to get back to Starcraft II.

Oh, I also fair caned 3D OoT on the coach last week. I've just finished the Fire Temple, so just under half-way through.

Still going strong with Skyrim on PC atm, think I'm close to the 250 hour mark now and yet to start the civil war questline or finish 50% of the MQ

My new PSP Go is getting a lot of use too, gone back to Dissidia Duo Decim, playing through the original game's story again in order to unlock 000

Played some Disneyland kinect again today. Just love dipping into it every now and again.

Finished PC Cave Story - excellent lttle game, and was in the mood for another 2D platformer and found freeware PC Iji. Graphics a bit crude but within its limits does nothing wrong - well worth playing IMHO.

Now onto PS2 Silent Hill 3 - horribly dark at the recommended settings but with a bit of adjustment looks OK. Camera is annoying me, even when constantly corrected it is fixated on wherever Heather looks. Good enough during normal play but come to combat areas and she automatically looks at the nearest threat so if you're trying to run past something nasty the camera will often lazily swing 180 degrees head on.

This is so you can see where she's looking as she runs past the threat but not where she's running to which is usually straight into the arms of a bad tempered fat bloke with personal hygene problems wearing a nappy. Lousy system.

Still it's the first survival horror game in ages that has made my heart race. As usual not the visuals but the sound. It is a bit cheap to scare players this way but done well as it is here it still works a treat on me. There was one section yesterday where I'd swear somebody was banging on my ceiling from above and another where I thought somebody was coming up my stairs and, illogical as that was, I had to go and check.
