Really mixing it up right now. Bits of J-League Winning Eleven 2010 on PS2 which is great fun. Also plenty of Exhaust Heat 2 on the SFC, really enjoying it, very fast and plenty to do. Pity there is no racing music though.

Main play is still The Last Story on Wii though. Reached chapter 25 and I still think it is excellent. I would probably score it a 9 based on the first 13 hours, just plays so well.

Currently Witcher 2 which is okay but overrated somewhat and Code of Princess which is fun if not entirely what I'd hoped it'd be.

Not so much gaming this week, but been playing some more Gottlieb Pinball on the PSP, and some Pinball FX 2 on the Xbox 360. Other than that started playing Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.

SFXT seems alright, but I keep wanting to do traditional Tekken moves with the Tekken cast, and obviously failing!. Need to put in a fair bit of practice to that one. Even more practice is needed at UMVC3, as I found out playing Kirov online and not winning a single match. I suck.

Us Tekken fans need to wait a little longer for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken_X_Street_Fighter
This week I have been playing Tekken Hybrid on the PS3.

House of the Dead 4, playing with my Sharpshooter. I'll have MASSIVE arms at this rate. Awesome fun but bloody unforgiving at times.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier - multiplayer beta - loving it mostly (excpet being in a team of noobs who play the game like its COD - then it's frustrating as hell). Am seeing some peeps who've racked up 2million XP!!! That's astonishing.

Just starting out on Star Trek Online. Looks lovely and I very much like the transporter effect and warping. Can't wait to get a more powerful ship though.

Still playing through Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, though I'm stuck on a boss battle right now so I've put it aside for a few days.

Been playing Lone Survivor over the past few days. A fantastic indie survivor horror game that puts newer efforts by the big companies to shame. Great atmosphere.

Also been working through Resident Evil: Revelations, which I'm enjoying so far (though I am aware that people dislike the latter half of the game - I am bracing myself for this). I ranted about this in another topic, but the episodic structure is annoying and destroys any natural pace to the game. It plays well though, and in fairness I am enjoying it.

I finished replaying Lost Planet 1 and am still dipping into co-op on Lost Planet 2, the game that keeps on giving!

I also started playing Crysis 2, but I'm really struggling to get into it. I think my main issue is the save system. The game is encouraging you to Lord Stealthington from Stealthshire, but if you mess up, there's no "Load last checkpoint" option. You have to either commit suicide for the option to appear or quit out of the game and reload. I think I saw the loading page more than the actual game.

I don't like being forced to checkpoints either. Quick saves are the bestest for games like this. I'm sure they took out the feature to add tension or something, but it just means that I'm getting frustrated with it. Half-Life, Max Payne, Oblivion and countless others all had quicksave features and weren't ruined by it. Quite the opposite, the game lasted longer because I'd try different things out or replay a section until I did it perfectly.

I'm being given choices like "Flank", "Ascend" and "Explore" and I'd like to save before I choose and try all three out, but I really feel like I'll only play through this once and never really have a mooch around.

Such as shame as I was really looking forward to playing it.

I've also had Dead Island arrive from LoveFilm, so I'm looking forward to doing some co-op in this.

Bit o' Gears of War 3. Been trying my hand at VS again, as I usually horribly. Been in the Boomshot and Gnasher play list and holding my own quite nicely, which is a real change for me.

Girlfriend and I started Haze today after realising it could be played coop, and, well, we've managed to finish it too.

Frankly I was expecting this to be crap and the beginning almost had us believing it was to the point of stopping(the cut scenes are over the top and verging on cringey), but it turned out to actually be pretty good.
I mean in the most part it's a very average game but I quite liked the story and the whole nectar thing was interesting, plus the driving parts (despite having fairly poor handling!) at least helped to mix things up a bit. All in all it was worth playing especially given how few and far between coop fps's are,
