Finally completed Resident Evil 6 last night. I have major issues with the game on many levels, but I feel genuine satisfaction that I've completed that beast of a game!

I've been playing the HD re-release of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X on PS3. Excellent stuff.
I loved the game when it was first released on the Dreamcast, but I'm enjoying it even more this time. It really doesn't get the attention it really deserves. They actually 'fleshed out' the villains and gave them a real backstory. The whole story surrounding the Ashford family is genuinely interesting and gives the whole thing that bit more depth. Overall, it's just extremely well executed. A nice balance between the slight more 'B-movie' action focus of Resident Evil 2, yet with a return to the slightly more claustrophobic feel of the original game. REmake might be the best example of the Resident Evil formula, but this is probably a close second on my eyes.
The port is also very good. Appears to be natively HD. If the game is cropped, then I certainly can't notice it. After the recent mediocre attempts at HD re-releases from rival publishers like Konami, it's refreshing to play a HD re-release that does what it's supposed to.

Yes Mart just Bosh him off the Plane with the crate launcher thing, You have to do it quite a few times though. Whilst your waiting for it to be ready just keep moving and shooting him a bit before ramming him with the crate launcher then repeat until you have knocked him off. At least thats how i remember doing it but it's been a decade.

Been playing through Silent Hill book of memories on vita, and a little AC3 on vita.
Liking silent hill even though it shouldnt be called that. Its pin sharp visually so its refreshing in that sense, and not a bad dungeon crawler really.
AC3 is a nice game but imo a visual letdown.
Just about to carry on with dishonored after only putting in an hour on release day.

The single scenario in Code Veronica is longer than Resident Evil 2, though if you add up the four different (albeit similar) scenarios in Resident Evil 2, it's probably longer overall. It's definitely worth another go if you like the classic Resident Evil formula.Last edited by sj33; 13-11-2012, 10:23.
