I finished FEAR, was rather underwhelmed, took a night off and started Extraction Point.

It's, uh, a lot better at the whole scaring the player thing. I like it.

I understand it's pretty short, though, so I have Dead Space queued up for after.

Started XBLA Symphony of the Night on Sunday which kicked off my own unique, Castlevania-centric brand of OCD and wouldn't let me go off until I had 200.6%'d the castle and blitzed through a second time with Richter - 3am.

Aside from this, Mirror's Edge. Can't get enough of it. Cleared the 50-star mark in time trials, and just got 2 stages left now to beat the speedrun qualifying times. Once I'm done with those I'll probably uninstall it until the DLC gets released.

Then it'll be back to Enchant Arms to finish that.

        Old school 360 for me!!

Completed Gears of War - LOVED it - will be onto the second as soon as I can get it.

Went back to Orange Box, which I stopped playing when GTA 4 came out. I'm halfway through ep 1 and will then do ep 2. Surprised me that the graphics seem a bit crap after playing the likes of the above games.

LittleBigPlanet - I've still got three levels in progress in the editor, but I hit a mental block with one of them and subsequently ground to a halt on all 3. I think I've been investing too much mental energy in it, lol. Instead I have just been mucking around with user levels... I'm determined to finish Anini's Labyrinth.

Warhawk - went back to it after a solid month of nothing but LBP.. was very worried my hard-acquired skills would have vanished after the break, but aside from a couple of horrendous occasions where we got base-raped (opposing team pushed us back to our main base and surrounded us making it impossible to break out) I'm back in the swing of it. My global KDR crept up by 0.01 points (lol) and my Warhawk KDR is approaching 1, woo!

Wipeout HD - the elite AI killed my enthusiasm for this a long time ago, but again following a break I went back to try the improved online mode. No more AWOL hosts is great, it's really made it better. I was able to get the bling brigade trophy too, although it didn't come easily. We had a full room of people using campaign skins, but someone was a lap down and the winner didn't wait for the race to end, just left - as a result nobody got the trophy. Took another 45 minutes or so before we got a full complement again.. doh!

Just spent the best part of an hour against someone in japan handing my ass to me again & again on kotoba puzzle mojipittan deluxe on wii.

They have the small advantage of
            1) been japanese
            2) been japanese thus having a very good knowledge of japanese words
            3) been able to link them together to get high scoring combos
            4) playing against someone who needs to learn more words

To be fair i thought i held up pretty well considering my vocabulary list is about the size of a peanut It's very good learning though as i watch to see what words they are using & how they link them together. A very fun game, plus it has one of the best soundtracks of any puzzle game i have ever played i love it.

Been severely under the weather this week so haven't played a great deal.

Tomb Raider Underworld (PS3): Pretty good. Looks nice. But feels a bit "loose" which isn't what you want when you're gallivanting through tombs and up cliffs where the smallest miscalculation spells "crazy ragdoll death".

King of Fighters: Orochi Saga (PS2): Preowned (but still factory sealed) from Gamestation for ?9.99. I now have every KoF game from '94 - XI including NGBC and SvC Chaos. It's nice to see how the series has evolved over time.

Prince of Persia: Step aside Mirrors Edge, this is my GotY!! Stunning to look at, listen to and play. Has taken my breath away on more than one occassion and I've only been playing it for 2 hours!!

Valkyria Chronicles: Utterly brilliant and twenty pounds to boot. One of my favourites of the year.

                Left 4 Dead: Ruddy genius.

Tomb Raider Underworld: Absolutely loved the first few levels, and still love the epic scale and Lara's new moves. But once I got so far through the Thailand level all the bugs became too much...it also failed to save half an hours progress twice. It's getting swapped for PoP today.

This week has been all xbox 360 for me.

Guitar hero: WT and Rock band 2 have been getting a bit of drum and guitar action (finished medium drum career in GH:WT ).

Apart from this it's been all about Call of Duty 4. Up to level 22 on my first prestige run, and instead of depending on the machine guns, I'm trying to improve with the shotguns. Still brilliant fun, even after a year on.

Prince Of Persia: Amazing Amazing game, utterly fantastic. Everything reeks of polish.

PixelJunk Monsters: No game has had me so frustrated angry and ready to break the controller in recent years. . . Until this game. Yet something has me hooked. I just cannot stop playing it. The cheery music, the colourful graphics and the fact that you actually have to use your head and think make this an awesome game. One of the best downloadable games on either LIVE or PSN.

The daily dose of Animal Crossing on the Wii has been suplimented with NFS Prostreet, Rune Factory 2 and Avalon Code on DS and Phantasy Star Portable on PSP.

Finally got round to finishing off Prince of Persia (PS3), loved every bit of it apart from the final section. One of the best games I have played this year actually. Also been having small sessions on Midnight Club LA (PS3), LittleBigPlanet (PS3), FIFA 09 online (360) and CoD4 online (360).

I started Okami (PS2) and Dead Space (360) this weekend.

                            They complement each other well.

Started playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band again this weekend/week. My hands aren't fully up to speed yet but they are getting there.

                              And... YES!

Finally clocked three million on DonPachi (hong kong). Dreadful score but I'm very happy.

                                Recently :

Fallout 3 (X360) - completed, now going back and doing the extra bits. Given Wasteland is one of my favourite games ever (and i liked Fallout 1+2), this is really as close as i could get to the vision of the original game as i'd want. I had a similar tactic as well which was quite interesting : Lazer everything, Missiles for tricky situations. Awesome game.

Left 4 Dead (X360) - fantastic online/multiplayer fun. Been through all the stories and feel the need for more. Hoping for DLC, but might just bite the bullet and get the PC version.

Gears Of War 2 (X360) - completed on hardcore, will start an insane run. But been playing a lot of Horde.

Raiden 4 (X360) - reminding myself that i suck at shooters.

Motorstorm 2 (PS3) - fantastic arcade racer. A massive improvement over the first.

Elite Beat Agents (DS) - felt the need to go back through it. Completed on cheerleader mode (for about the 7th time).

Moeru! Ouendan! (DS) - really weird flipping from EBA to this. The japanese tracks are really different musically/timing wise. Working to get through all of it, on all difficulties (again)

Final Fantasy I (PSP) - wanted a simple on the go RPG, decided to just slowly work through FF.
