What has everyone been playing this week?

Asterix on SMS and Moonwalker on MD.

I have a problem with Moonwalker, this happened when i last played the rom too, on 1-3, i cant find tehe last girl, i mean how many doors can there be - not many, just cant get off this stage its like im in limbo.

and terrible at games.

More Gears of War Horde Mode, reached Level 20 this week, then 8 and 4, really is hard sometimes!

Rock Band 2, playing guitar with my girlfriend on Sat night, so that was a blast!

Not too much this week. Re-arranged my set-up so the PS2 is back on my mega-tele so it's been some fighting game action a-go-go with KOF: Orochi Saga, SF Alpha Anthology and Arcana Heart all getting about 30 minutes play each.

Bit of FIFA 09 on Xbox 360 as it isn't too taxing (although scoring on the volley and from an in-off are proving tricky achievements to unlock) and also played some VF5 on PS3 this week.

I really wish SEGA would update the PS3 version to the current arcade revision to allow for the new costumes to be used. Pirates, Arrrgh!!!

I've been playing the original Far Cry. Yes, I'm a bit late to the party, but at least now I can play the 64-bit build with everything up to the max, 8x anisotropic filtering and 4x AA with Ultra water and lighting quality, and still get more than 60fps Not sure exactly what I'm getting as I have my refresh rate locked to 60hz (I play on my living room TV) but FRAPS says it never drops below 60.

All I can say is, this game rocks! It's like a love-letter to 80s action movies. All the old standbys are in there - a German mad scientist, a reluctant hero, a hostile yet beautiful jungle setting and of course hard-talking, hard fighting mercenaries

The dynamic music is great at upping the tension when you're creeping around and even when the action gets hot, which is tense enough in itself as it seems refreshingly difficult to survive a gun battle. This is also one of the most honestly free-form games I've played yet. There really is so much scope for different tactics and approaches to each situation. It's not like a lot of console games where 'free-form' means there are two or three possible solutions - in Far Cry there really are no borders and the play areas are so vast it's possible to attack from almost any angle, or even just go the long way around and avoid confrontation (often a wise choice). But at the same time, that means there's nowhere safe to run and that makes it consitently tense and exciting.

I can really see what Crytek were aiming for when they made this game and it's pretty much everything I could want in a game. If they've expanded on their ideas in the way I think they have with Crysis, I'm going to enjoy taking that out of my Christmas stocking next week!

Started playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band again this weekend/week. My hands aren't fully up to speed yet but they are getting there.

And... YES!

Finally clocked three million on DonPachi (hong kong). Dreadful score but I'm very happy.

Started Dead Rising again, might have an attempt at the 7 day survivor achievement over Christmas.

Still well into XBox Morrowind - 25+ hours and I reckon at least 80% of the map is still unvisited let alone explored.

This week has been Call of Duty 4 online, Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.
Much the same as the last 2 weeks!

Also had a side order of the free Doritos game, for the 15 mins it lasted!

Been playing some Fallout 3 mostly this week with helpings of CoD4 and FIFA 09 online multiplayer. Last night I started playing Okami on the Wii though, maybe I should have waited.....I can feel it sucking me in!

Been to busy for games at the minute except for the odd quick game of Marvel vs Capcom but over the xmas break I'll hope to finish Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia and make a start on Fallout.

Had worst bout of health all year this last month so I spent near enough 3 weeks hardly able to talk audibly drugged up playing Last Remnant which Ive adored.

Now Im more compus mentus started on Motorstorm 2 and Eternal Sonata this week (but can see Sonata getting benched as the more energy I have the more I want to play arcade games again). Loving MS2
