Well, after much life nonsense, (separation, moving out, lurking in the shadows of this forum, preparing for divorce type fun, blah blah blah), I've finally got my act together and have started gaming again after 2 years...

So, having completed Fallout 3 on PS3, have decided to go through it again as an evil dooer...

Loving Shadow of the Colossus on my US PS2, along with Black and Odin Sphere...

Raced through Half Life 2 on the PC, which was just awesome and so have now moved onto HL2:Episode 1....

And also playing with the idea of parting ways with my 360...

Bought Tenchu: Fatal Shadows on PS2 from CEX yesterday, because I loved Wrath Of Heaven, and wanted to play the 'one inbetween' before dipping into Shinobido (even though I know it's not strictly a Tenchu game, though it is).

I was a bit wary because of online reviews slagging it off, saying it's got "sub PS1 graphics", the gameplay is "simplistic and dated", with the ingame enemies possessing "atrocious AI".

I'm having lots of fun with it. The graphics are understated but slick, very similar to WOH, and it's fun to control, it feels a bit faster than before. As for the AI, the enemies *are* Baldrick-dumb, but I love naff AI in stealth games and can't be arsed spending weeks replaying a certain section of a stealth game because some remote guard catches sight of me every bastard time I pass a certain wooden crate. It's far more fun to stealth-kill the stupid baddies in this game, get things sorted quicker, I somehow feel they deserve it more, like I'm doing the videogame gene pool a favour by annihilating these dunderheads. I mean, ffs, some guy spotted me through a wooden lattice and just kept running and running and running....without actually moving an inch forward.

Just finished Gears 2 on Normal Difficulty. Little bit undewhelming on that low difficulty, but I didn't want to risk coming up against any difficulty spike; if only I'd realised there were two higher settings...

Now I've started Ocarina of Time. I got about 2/3rds of the way through this back in 1999 and started again a few years ago, quitting around the Water Temple (not because of the difficulty, though!) I'm determined to finish it this time!

Started Fallout 3 again after an unsuccessful first attempt when it initially came out. Definitely getting into it this time ... now I'm giving those goddamn fire ants a wide berth ...

                      Some SFIV online too

                        HOTD: Overkill.
Did story mode, which aint hard, and now half way thru Director's Cut, which aint hard either. Still, a superb game, and some hilarious gross-out comedy. Couldn't believe the ending. Hope developers get to follow up ending teaser and release a sequel in Vegas. I think they well deserve a second chance.

Also playing Space Giraffe on PC.
Love it. Can't see why everyone was complaining about it being too confusing/psychedelic to play. It's a totally fair system.

Nothing much this week apart from My Fitness Coach. None of the charm of Wii Fit, but it'll certainly keep you fitter - I felt exhausted the other day.

GTA Chinatown Wars : Stunning game, really fun, and well all I seem to have done the past week is deliver drugs, and buy myself new places to live, save and escape the feds! Done one new mission and also drove some random woman to her friends place, but when you make thousands dealing drugs, you dont really fancy doing the paltry 50 dollar missions anymore.

                              This week:

-Hotel Dusk: Just started this on the back of Another Code. So far it seems just as good.

-GTA: Chinatown Wars: I know! I know! I said I wouldn't! Only done the first couple of missions and I'm hitting all the things that stopped me from really getting into GTA1 and 2. I'll give it more time yet though.

-Ouenden 2: Well, it's just amazing isn't it?

-Fallout 3: Still forcing myself to plow on with this. Whilst I'm completely against any review that score this game higher than average there are parts and areas that are quite good and keep you playing. Just a shame its full of so much bland and repetitive wandering.
