Mostly PSN stuff. Outland - liking it very much, despite the absence of any real plot. Dead Nation - picked it up on the Welcome Back program and I'm pleasantly surprised with the first half an hour or so, after the middling reviews, though I don't know if it'll hold up. Under Siege... eh. I like the effort the developers have obviously put in, but first impressions are yes, on normal difficulty this is far, far too hard. A console RTS (i.e. tricky to control) where enemy missile units have a DOT attack where a mixed squad can kill your basic units in seconds? No. Just no. It's interesting, but I can already see myself giving up before I get to the end of this one.

Finished PS2 Rise of the Kasai the NTSC only sequel to Mark of Kri. Decent game and worth importing if you liked the flawed original (it recycles quite a bit of it too). But it still has the same flaws and adds to them too by reducing the stealth opportunities and forcing you to play alongside a VERY annoyingly programmed AI ally most of the time. It would have been far better as a Half-Life Decay type co-op game but unfortunately such an idea obviously didn't occur to the creators.
Also just finished original Xbox version of Curse: The Eye Of Isis - it had, mostly, very average reviews but some people liked it so at <?5 new/sealed I thought it worth a punt. Turned out to be more entertaining than I expected. but at heart an old fashioned RE clone. Better controls and combat system though.

i've been hammering everybody's golf 2 on psp this week.
after loving the ps3 version, and with the vita not too far off i started thinking about this series again. and was (still am) very tempted to get the japanese ps3 release just so i have some people to play against. but in the end plumped for the the psp game straight off psn for only ?7.
its absolutely brilliant, i'm starting to regret buying ssf4ae on disc now, as i havent touched it since the first two days.

Back on Rainbow Six Vegas 2. haven't unlocked all the chievos (the online ones are a bit daunting, especially on a slow ass Internet connection).
Wanted to try putting my face in the game, but the kinect won't work as a normal webcam, so I'm playing as Lucy Liu in a tank top... Wall hugging is so much more fun now.

Finally picked up Sonic Colours two days ago and have been playing it since....
HOLY CRAP IT'S SERIOUSLY GOOD!
Best 3D Sonic game ever without question.
WAAAAAY better than the Adventure games, Heros, Sonic'06 & Unleashed.
It's quite shocking to play a modern Sonic game that is really good.
I mean, this game is fun, controls well, features stunning worlds that capture ones imagination, no camera problems, great music throughout, has good platforming sections, no none Sonic levels .... and the cut scenes are not even annoying! What the hell, Amazing!
No crappy side missions, awesomely designed menus.... and the different worlds are totally unique and just plain brilliant. I could go on, REALLY impressed and loving this right now, about half way through it. I know gamesTM scored it eight, but how the heck did EDGE give this a 6?!!!!
How awesome is Sweet Mountain?!!!!!
Goddammit this game RULES!Last edited by DANGEROUS-3; 03-07-2011, 18:50.

I have also been playing Sonic Colours this weekend. Damn good to play a Sonic game that is purely a Sonic game to the core.
Has some lovely touches which represent the older games such as underwater sections and the classic air bubbles!
I thought the Wisp powerups would annoy me but they really haven't and work well on the most part, the only exception for me would be "Hover" as it slows the level down a fair bit. Then again the Hover Wisp only shows up a few times and they tend to be vertical levels anyhoo so it breaks up the gameplay.
Oddest Wisp power goes to Cube. It's interesting as it adds a different element to the platforming but it's so bizarre!
I am addicted to shouting "SPIKES" at the moment at quiet times to scare the girlfriend. Best powerup and shout lol.

Still playing in the Casino in Dragon Quest IV DS. The monster battles are infuriating but I spend every bus ride chasing another big win. Completely broke the game for me, as I can't even remember where I'm supposed to go next and I've turned Torneko into the equivalent of one of those sad old men you see shuffling out of Ladbrokes and muttering to themselves.
