Guilty Gear had the best stance animations, they went one further and added quite detailed pre-fight animations for each character.

Indeed. When I was a younger, I was disapointed with Lemming 3 spritework. Too chubby for my tastes.

Never played it so cant comment but it's one of those Saturn Games I've wanted for so long but always seem to miss out on when it pops up in the for sale section

I think so yeah. When you consider the year it came out in the arcades. The graphics are colourful, cartoony, lots of very nicely animated sprites, try it out it is fantastic.

Is that the one you can get on Taito Legends 2? If so, yeah, that's one lovely moving game. I like the scale of the graphics an' all, quite tiny sprites on mahoosiv backgrounds. Lovely stuff.

Man, I want to buy it now!

Yeah - I would recommend either the Saturn version or the version on the Japanese Taito Memories collection if you can - those are the best.
