Thought I would give a heads up to the fighter fans on here, neoempire are holding another event in July which will be a fight for plane tickets for players to go to EVO 2008!

Not only that, but you can get to play SF4 and SFII HD RMX at the event too.

This event will see the best players from around Europe competing for a ticket to Las Vegas, USA, where our winning competitors will represent Europe in the biggest Fighting Games Tournament in the Western Hemisphere, Evolution!
This two day event takes place on the

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2008

At the moment, looks like I will be able to make it to this event and try my luck at 3rd Strike and HSF2, DHALSIM FTW!

Been to 2 of NeoEmpires events in the past and they are all run really professionally and the atmosphere and people there are quite friendly.

Last one I went to was really packed out though, don't know how much bigger this venue is as it seems like this event will be bigger then the one they had about 3 months ago.

Any of the fighter heads from here going?

Never been to one of these events but have been meaning to, and this sounds like the one to be involved in, so shall mark this weekend in my calendar now. I know my HSF2 game is ****e, and whilst the others aren't much better I will stick to CvS2 and 3S...

BTW: SF Anniversary tourney stupidly only lets you use Super and Super Turbo incarnations...I think that is crazy but ho hum

I'm well up for it. From past experience in Troc/Casino I know there's tonnes of people who will take me to bits even if I'm completely on top of my game, but I'd still like to at least feel like I've done myself justice.

If you want to do it sooner rather than later, my housemate (Chi-Ryu, believe you met with him t'other day in Casino, J0e?) still has, but is planning on shortly eBaying his 3S CPS3 board. That'll be in one of the cabs until it goes I'd imagine, and in the other (Naomi Uni) we've got CvS2, so as long as it doesn't end up being too many people I don't mind hosting a bit of a session.

I'm trying to get into CVS2 and thinking about 3s so if I can attend a session that'd be really helpful (I'm also in Ealing).

I won't be ready for the tournament though, although I'm alright at T5DR. The only Neoempire events I've been to so far have been for VF5. The last one had plenty of extra games on casuals including VF5, hopefully this one will be the same.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head for me there. I've got Anniversary Edition for PS2 but haven't played it a great deal. Did have SSF2X CPS2 at one point but sold it on.

I play Hyper more than 3S. Way more. It's all Christian's fault though as now I play Ibara more than anything else! At least the cab is always free in Casino too

I seriously can't get on with Ibara Or Pink Sweets, for that matter.. Ketsui, Progear or ESPGaluda 2 are the Cave titles for me.

I might have my arm twisted round to entering Hyper, let's see how a few muck abouts on it come through, eh? Monday next week I'm out, but Tuesday would be good. Anyone else in?

What time would it be? Weekend would be better for me but I might be able to make it during the week.

I'm only really a beginner at 3S and CVS2 though. I'm trying to decide if I can get anywhere with them or if I should get into some of the new fighters coming out.

This sucks wrong weekend totally for me (Fiancée's sisters Birthday weekend ) otherwise I'd have popped along to watch.

I suck at teh fighters so wouldnt even contemplate entering but would have been nice to watch & maybe meet some of you lot as well
