Maybe put another SF game in the VF cabinet, or VF itself? Mix it up a bit...

I'm going to BOD. I think a few of us CeXers are anyway. I'm currently modding my DC stick in preparation (gonna put up a thread about it when it's finished. It's gonna have a little surprise in the VMU slot, wait and see...)

Not expecting to get anywhere at all in the tournament, but I don't mind one bit, going mainly for the atmosphere and to watch the masters at work. Would still go even if there wasn't SF4 there, but that's a nice addition anyway (I imagine the queues will be huge, although the £10 entry fee should probably keep the cheapskates out).

My tourny title is Soft Punch.

It works on two levels - either it'll be true and I'll just get my arse handed to me on a plate (but at least I wasn't cocky) or it'll be pleasantly ironic and I manage to kick a few arses myself (doubtful but it can't hurt to hope).

phillai's coming too hopefully, he's nicked my idea and gone for Weak Kick. We'll be like a gay SF couple

I sent an email and there is going to be 3 back to back SFIV Machines there so I am really looking forward to see.

I'd like to play some others at Street Fighter III. Me just got an Arcade Stick for my PS3 and I would like to play some people at this game and get better. I am pretty much going for the casual as I know I will get my ass handed on a platter if I even try!

Shoju, Street Turk and myself had a nice little session on Saturday, and there's already talk of a repeat performance, so if anyone else fancies poking their head round for a game and a bit of banter before stepping up to the plate on tournament day, post up!

I was gonna go down on Sunday to BoD for SFIII and some SFIV shananigans. I'm up for a session on Saturday if you are doing one, then straight down to BoD the next morning.

Though I am only going for the casual play on Saturday (money constraints as Uni is coming up), It will be interesting to see how to play Street Fighter III even better and see some interesting chains, moves etc.

That looks awesome mate. I originally saw this on your Facebook and thanks for the link so I can get Sanwa buttons. I have the Real Arcade Pro 3 and I can feel the difference with the buttons as I was playing in the arcades yesterday. I want to get those buttons put in my stick.

I really like how you've changed the buttons so it has the colour of the original Dreamcast logo, I thought personally an awesome touch added with Ryu, it looks too awesome!

So you've modified the stick so it works on other platforms or just a DC Stick?

Modded with a PS1 digital pad so it'll only work with the PS1/2 and whatever converters allow digital-only PS1 pads (there were a few before that wouldn't work with xbox/cube if the pad didn't have analogue sticks but most are fine).

So, who's going to be there on what day? I'll only know a couple of faces but will be there on Sunday and am up for meeting as many friendly types from here as possible, especially since I'm not sure I can handle gaming non-stop the whole time I'm there.

VF is the only 'true 3D' fighter you'd catch me playing, but at the same time I can't help but feel I've already missed the boat on that one completely. SF4 I would imagine I'll be playing, and KOF XII/Blazeblue are definite possibilities, especially if they get home ports.

I play Oro and Dhalsim...ghetto style. Hopefully I've learnt a few tips playing some of these ace players last time, but more then likely everyone will just get OFF'D as usual.

Just got back from BOD. Flipping awesome, it was. The Hyper SF2 final stages were class, stunning performances

Later on I'll put up the vids of Justin Wong handing my arse back to me on a plate twice.

I stayed until the end of the Hyper SF2 finals but left at the beginning of the Tekken finals. At that time a little 14 year-old called Devil was doing the arse-handing-out.

The DC stick with the Ryu inside was well received, too (as was the Sega Vest UK:Resistance t-shirt )

just got back and wow! What a ****ing day!

My highlight of the day was getting my ass kicked by Justin Wong although at least I wasn't the poor guy who lost on double perfects!! Bilal and I filmed each other getting owned at Third Strike but I am gonna upload it on Youtube and then make a Director's Cut version!

Street Fighter IV is really nice. Graphics are gorgeous, 60fps and the game play is very good. I am sure that I will buy this game on PS3 when it is available! The Revenge and Focus systems implemented are very interesting indeed. On SFIV, I played three times. I won once (beat billy_dimashq) and lost twice but I played HD Remix and almost lost double perfect thanks to a guy using T.Hawk!

The Hyper Fighting finals were intense and some of the combos were insane. There was a Dhalsim and Balrog fight I think and that was really really good entertainment. The Final between Honda and Vega (Bison) was also very good stuff.

Overall, I had a good day out but I missed out on the Tekken 5 finals as I got a headache plus I got work in the morning so I had to head home!
