I'm regretting buying this now, online never works properly for me. If I get into a lobby as soon as I get to the starting grid it says the host has quit back to main menu, when I know for a fact they haven't. It's done this so many times its beyond a joke.
The only time I could get a couple of games going was some bombtag matches I created a lobby for.
Compared to the smooth and painfree experience of wipeout HD this is a nightmare.

Yeah online seems broken, and the trophies are not synching with PSN, but im sure it will be fixed. I'm loving this game. Sure it hasn't got the depth of Wipeout, but the bright colours, awesome horn sounds and bubbly gameplay are so addictive. I love it!

We've been looking into the Trophies and it looks to just be a delay in the PSN servers updating. All of the gamercard stuff and comparing trophies is handled by the PS3 Firmware and PSN servers, and as with leaderboard posts it takes some time for the servers to reflect anything posted. So that should sort itself out as the servers refresh.

I had a couple of games online at lunch and we've not run into any network issues. If you're in-game and you see cars go transparent it generally means that data isn't getting through fast enough (so someone isn't sending data, or sending data quick enough) but the only games I got removed from were where someone kicked me for using the wrong car, or because we kept winning!

I've mentioned what I've seen to the GTI team though - so we're keeping an eye on things and playing some games with the retail version online to see how we fare. Keep an eye out for any players with Sumo in their name :P

All my online problems seem to occur when I try to join a game.
When I host games, like just now, it's fine.
However as soon as I go to join games either when I get in the lobby or get to the starting grid, you can guarantee between 5-10 seconds in I get the blue message saying the host has quit and I'm returned to the menu. The host hasn't quit so there must be a problem somewhere.

I'm finding the online a total shodfest too, just got kicked from 10 games in a row due to "host has quit", so I thouht id make my own game in frustration and lo n behold "connection lost" and booted to title screen after 30 secs or so.

Its annoying enough going back to title, it should at least drop you into the join game screen, infact I should be able to play this game online, but cant.

I've not had any problems, but then I've only been playing Bomb Tag. It's like digital crack cocaine!

This is my exact problem. I tried about 6 times and nothing worked. I even tried hostinga nd setting the limit of players to 2 and still nothing. As soon as the game starts all other cars stay here they are, go transparent and i drive freely. Its made even worse by the fact that you can hear them exchanging bombs yet i cant, even though im driving.

Oh and i recieved my first gold trophy tonight. It was frustrating and hard yet killed myself to get it. Yet no one is able to view this acheivement yet . . .

How come all these other people that are playing online though are playing, yet a lot of people are experiencing the problem i am (Cars going transparent)? Also i'm killing for the trophies to update on my list.

Why is online gaming generally worse these days? ... I remember when I first got in to console gaming online with Live, and everything was great 98% of the time.

Now.. you have PES not being able to work well online, and games like GTi, which have no excuses.

It baffles me.

I play this game lag-free since launch. Its true that sometimes others go invisible, but I thought that they were quitters. Most games I play however, have no problems.

Bomb Tag is really fun, provided its a full grid.

The trophy sync troubles still continue.. since installing the game all im getting is :- PSN trophy sync operation error ( 80022D68)...

any ideas...

no idea as its happening to me. Although other games do update on my gamertag. Yet when i try to sync since this game i get this error. I have been reading its just because it has not updated on Sony's servers yet. Brain Challenge was like this as well i have read. So im guessing just give it time.
