      Fumito Ueda?s/Team Ico's New Game

Sony worldwide studio head Shuhei Yoshida has given the clearest indication yet that the firm is ramping up to the announcement of Fumito Ueda?s next game, confirming to VG247 that the PS3 project will be shown ?soon.?

?I cannot tell,? said the exec was asked specifically if the new Team ICO game will be shown at Tokyo Game Show this year.

?But I can say that they?ve been working very hard since the release of Shadow of the Colossus.

      ?Soon you?ll see.?

Yoshida said that Sony?s plans for the Japanese event are yet to be finalised.

?Tokyo?s more focused on consumers so we?re still working on the intricacies,? he said. ?Games Convention is unique of consumers and trade.?
The Ueda project has been consistently in the press recently, despite the fact no one knows a blind thing about it.

Ueda himself said in a recent interview that the game was still out of ?critical? production, and Yoshida has also said previously that he?s excited by the title.

Go on. TGS. You know you want to.
So what do we think that means? Sounds like an '09 release unless they really surprised people and it was '08...I doubt it though.

Sounds to me like they've only been working on pre-production so far. I think that's what he means by it not being in 'critical' production, as in, they're still drawing up concepts, design etc and haven't begun making it yet. That would make a 2009 release very optimistic indeed, especially considering how long the gap between Ico and SoTC was.

If they've been 'working very hard since Colossus' then i'd imagine they'd be past pre-production. Even if they're well known for long developing times.

Still, I'm very excited about anything made by Team Ico.

Hopefully it's more Ico and less SotC, whatever it is.

I actually hope it is more Shadow of the Colossus and less Ico

A HD version of SOTC with a few more beasties thrown in would make my day.

I would prefer it was more ICO a well. I was a little bit disapointed with SOTC . Not that it wasn't a good game, but I think I was spoilt with ICO.

I'll take either, or something completely different from them. Just bring it on!

More Shadow of The Colossus for me! But then again, I loved both.

a 30FPS version of SOTC would suffice!

I'm glad to hear there will be a new game. On the other hand, though, I know that it will cause a lot of pain and suffering, as I understand that Ueda's a right bastard to work for.

This is my most anticipated game on any format. I loved both previous efforts - they were very different games, but masterpieces in their own right. I think this game will be very different to what has come before, and I'm anticipating something truly breathtaking.
