If I remember rightly, load up ME and choose to start new game using an existing Shep. The saves you see available there are the ones you can choose from in ME2. I've got three saves in mine all from the same Shep and I'm willing to bet that they're just for different decisions at the end.
I've got a day off before ME2, I might turn it into a marathon session to get my lvl 50 to 60 on one last playthroughLast edited by Riskbreaker; 20-01-2010, 21:28.

Yep, when you start ME2 you have the option to import an existing one from ME.
It shows you each completed game and gives you a run down of the choices you made, who lived and who died and your Paragon / Renegade points.
It was posted a little bit back in the thread - but you might want to avoid for the sake of some silly spoilers in there

If it's just a few kb then I'll agree, but some of the stuff they're talking about sounds like a couple of 100Mb at least - I'm betting the Zaeed DLC will probably be comparable to Bringing Down the Sky because of the extra assets and voice work.

I don't really see what the fuss is about the launch dlc. It just seems like an anti piracy thing, and none of us here are pirates. If you're buying it second hand you've likely got yourself a bargain so you shouldn't be complaining about giving a little money back to the developer for the extra content.
anyway I'm getting pretty pumped for this. I'm getting close to finishing the first for the first time and I've just bought mass effect galaxy (apparently its not that good, but I'm interested to see what the character is like) and I got the 2 novels as well. I doubt the books will get read before me2 comes out I'll definitely finish me1. I might even have a crack at getting a renegade playthrough done, skipping most of the side quests (I seriously think I have done every available side quest on my first playthrough. may have to have a look online and see if there are any I've missed).
A quick question though. Do your skills have any impact on the second game? I mean I can't see how it would work, starting the game at level 50 (is there even enough xp in the game to get to level 60?)Last edited by mekanor; 20-01-2010, 23:48.

ah I see. no matter, I'll be content with keeping my appearance I suppose. That reminds me, Jennifer Hale had better be voicing female shepherd again.
Originally posted by Guts View PostI doubt it, since the skills in ME2 are very different form ME1. There are no weapon or armor skills in ME2 for example.

It's on Amazon (where I downloaded it from) - watch out though some of the tune titles give little bits away
