      To me, that's a spoiler.

It tells me that the end game makes you revisit the early game stuff.

What with this and the other spoilers the devs have themselves put out there, I wonder what the **** they are playing at.

Seriously, why do I need to know in advance what the disc swapping is all about. At some point it'll ask me to swap discs so I will, that's all I need to know.

It doesn't automatically mean that. Think about the first game - you could pretty much go anywhere, at any order, at any time (up until the point of no return). What it means here is that there's a set section in the middle which you have to do and they've put it on the second disc to limit the amount of swapping.

Once it's done, before the end bit, you're free to go back to exploring other planets and mopping up, exploring etc. It's a clever way of limiting the disc swap and by no means a spoiler - in this case don't assume that it mean that you're going back to the start of the game area.

I thought that too. The disc swapping doesn't mean you revisit the first part at all.

            We'll see!

I truly hope that's the case, but the fact that they totally gave away the beginning of ht game already leads me to thinking they don't seem to mind spoiling their game.

I know what you mean about devs having loose lips though and BTW if you're avoiding the spoilers, for the love of God don't listen to that Giantbombcast special on this!

Casey Hudson drops a pretty massive spoilerbomb about half way through regarding one of the potential endings to ME2. Usually I'd be bouncing, but I didn't mind as it's just one of legitimate scenarios that you can end the game with and not necessarily how your game will turn out. But he dropped it in so casually it was hard to avoid.

In all honesty though I couldn't even be annoyed about hearing it as the massive potential of it spun me right for how they're going to manage to do ME3 if a player wants it to be their choice for the ME universe.

It's what got me as hyped for No 3 as I am for No 2

I saw it at Eurogamer and it looked very, very good. Very smooth and detailed (running on a 360).

playing ME1 right now at highest settings on the PC, the game looks still pretty good but its the character animation and special effect details on the second game that really blows the first out of the water in terms of cam and trailer footage.

Reviews still say that in some sections, texture pop-up still occurs but its a lot more forgiving in the sequel (360 version).

just finished the story of the 1st game but i only did a dozen or so side planet missions , i feel really guilty as i know there must be so much more to see and do. i only wish i had played it properly and given the game the time it deserved its not a mistake i will be making when i pick up ME2. ive just started the bring down the sky mission which is cool what is the other dlc like?,

Not bad, Pinnacle is a training station puts you up against virtual deathmatch type games. If you complete it you unlock a nice little retreat for yourself.

I'm playing it through for the fourth time now on insanity, trying to get all the little achievements i've missed.

The side missions flesh out the story but gameplay wise are a bit generic.
Many of the locations are near identical for example but are essential for boosting your XP to get to lv60.

Microsoft made a boo-boo this morning. Someone put all the special edition items up for free on the Marketplace. I managed to grab the nine items including the Collectors Armour, Blood Dragon Armour, Inferno Armour and Terminus Armour for free (along with one big chunk of free DLC which had a massive plot spoiler).

Came in here to try and share the goodness, but by then the links were being pulled. So now I have DLC but no game to play with it.

                          5 DAYS!!!!1111!1111!

edit: what the hell, here are the links. Some people are saying they still work.

                          1.

                          2.

                          3.

                          4.

                          5.

                          6.

                          7.

                          8.

                          9. - massive spoiler in this one! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

This last one is apparently out for free via The Cerberus Network when the game launches. If you want to avoid the spoiler and are getting the game this week then you won't miss it.

I thought all day 1 DLC was meant to be free anyway wasn't it?

Cheers Spatial, they all worked for me.

Number 3 said page not found, but I refreshed and tried again and it worked!

Yeah and that really is a massive spoiler.

Some of those are the pre-order bonuses that you're only supposed to get from buying Dragon Age or ordering with specific retailers.

The last spoilerific one is apparently part of the free Cerberus Network DLC so you might want to avoid that one as you can grab it when the network goes live later this week.
