Fuuuuuck yeah, I know i'll be taking a couple days off for ME2!

edit: Brad at giantbomb did a write up on the presentation, here

n extreme cases, large pieces of content were removed completely. Caleston, a story-related "outland" planet with refineries and industrial cartels that was intended to be a part of the game's core story arc, was deleted from the game outright. We will never get that planet back, people. Shed a tear.
    Tear has been shed

It's funny, I remember them speaking about Caleston in the first few videos that they narrated when showing off the game (it was the one where Shepherd and Garis had the argument about saving the miners).

I'd always assumed that it did sort of make it in to the game with one of other primary quest planets - can't remember which one it was, but it also had miners in it.

In fact the video didn't look like anything that we didn't see in the final thing, so I'd dry your eyes there Orgun

        From a Bioware related Twitter.

Just watched tomorrow's new Mass Effect 2 pre-E3 video. ME2 is definitely looking very cool.
It's wrong that I'm stupidly excited over a teaser trailer, but it feel so right!!!!!111111!1!111

Hey look at the last fifth of that trailer

The Normandy has been trashed! Maybe that's why everyone thinks Shepard is dead.

Wonder if we'll get a spaceship to cruise around in?

Looks like GOTG (Mass Effect) is going to be smashed. This is how you make a teaser. Also, more confirmation that Shepard is in the game. Can't wait untill E3 so they can drop this marketing ploy.

Yeah, its a good teaser - but exactly that. I love Bioware, I love their games and I thought Mass Effect really stood out amongst the ton of excellent games in its release cycle - but Bioware also have a habit of not delivering on all their promises so I've become a little jaded about what they say will be in the game, and what actually ends up being there.

I also hope a PC version comes within the same release window as before, as the 360 texture load killed any re-playability for me. PC version still stands for me as one of the best RPG's of all time - so really can not wait for the next one despite reservations ^^

Also just making dibs on making the 'proper' ME2 thread whch i'll make probably during E3. This thread has outgrown its use and the OP is cool and all but has made no attempts to update the OP.

                            WOW!!!

I love the music to mass effect. I am now on a mass effect media blackout after that trailer! One of my most eagerly awaited games!

IMO Not many games have matched the sense of adventure Mass effect offers.

I'm not sure adventure is the right word for ME, I actually felt that slightly lacking to be honest. In particular with the side planets anyway.

I'd personally say that few games offered a sense of scale like ME particularly in the closing scenes. I really felt like my character belonged in the excellently crafted universe, and that just made it all the more sweeter.

Good call on the new thread!
