    It's Puma! My new hero.

Frankly this game is awesome although it is very hard!
Love the music and the fantastic style of the graphics.
Reminds me of Rakuga Kids on the N64 for some reason, must be the bizarre transformations or something.

The cut scenes are splendid too and I like the way the story is so obscure and silly, it's funny. The still screens when you complete a level are nice too. My favourite level so far must probably be the Space Level.

It could have done with a seperate section though where you can play each stage individually and it saves your high scores. I know 1 player mode kinda does that, with the seperate level selection, but as far as I can tell it only saves one score.

    Lovely, lovely game though.
To think it only cost me ?3.50 new too

If you want a copy I would reccomend getting it from game.
They are selling it for ?4.99 new, with my staff discount that's why it was so cheap.

If your game doesn't have it in then ask them to order it in from another store. That was what I had to do. When I rang our allocations department they said a few stores still had it so your store could order it in for you.

I'll have a look over the weekend, may get lucky. To be honest the local game is so poorly organised that finding anything is a challenge.

            My first PS2 game

The level of difficulty is a bit weird though. It's too easy on normal and too hard on master.

                Same here!
Actually I used to have a copy that I'd bought ages ago at full price (then later on sold), but my collection just didnt feel right without it - so I decided to buy it again.

I love it, purely because It's got one of the best J-pop songs ever.

I don't have a ps2 though so I've gotta play it on my mates and he's very, very good at it. Multiplayer is awesome though, especially with some beers involved.

I got it from Tesco at the bargain price of ?7.97 too! It really is very addictive and the only reason ive stopped recently is to conquer Dark Chronicle. Plus the fact I was stuck at the final on Flying-O Master mode hehe. I dread to think what the organ guy is like on master mode

Difficulty curve is weird though. As mentioned previously, that scary space shark had me stumped at every attempt for months. I stopped loading the game up. Couple of weeks ago my bro came to visit; we're both guitarists, veterans of Guitar Freaks too, and I knew he'd love Gitaroo Man, so I slung it on. After finally beating the drum n' bass shark, I also beat the next three or four levels on their first attempt. They were all easier than the shark. Ah well, it was great to play some new songs finally. How good is that one with the acoustic guitar by the fire, where the only "battle" is to lullaby your gal off to sleep? Such a tranquil break from the action.

Yep the shark took me ages to get through too

Its those damned skeletons that have me stumped now

                          Cheers Petey

I've picked this up recently and have been played through up to Gregario so far. The most trouble I've encountered was from Moto King Bee, I absolutely hate that track and he had me stumped for ages.

But the Shark only took about 5 or 6 attempts and the skeletons I beat through sheer fluke on my second pass

                            <== weird

Gregario is a pain in the backside, I reach the final part of the track with very low health and procede to completely foul it up. Looking forwards to having a few blasts on it tonight though.

Everyone seems to be following the same pattern. Anyway, Mojo King Bee is tough because you don't know how to play the game properly ('tis true, it takes a while to get it). The space shark has to be button bashed to stand a chance of getting through, the skeletons are a pain in the neck and Gregario should be diced into tiny nibbles and fed to Puma. ft:

After that, things just get, well, downright excellent. You'll see...

I've just finished it The second from last stage is excellent, but I button bashed the last stage .... which feels like the wrong thing to do for such a great game, but I'm no guitarist or gitaroo man for that matter

Right, gonna replay the second from last stage again and again and again
