Blast off and strike the evil Bydo empire!!

I'm sure we all know what I'm on about here eh!! Top game which has been converted so well on to so many hugely varied machines, even the speccy version was pretty darn good! I'm really not sure as to how many renditions of it I own but I'd say it must be getting close to double figures . Think I feel a Bydo bashing coming on tonight

You got the pc engine version? graphics are stunning in that. Have a soft spot for the gameboy colour outing too, even though I don't have it anymore cos some cockmongrel stole it when I was a kid.

I sure have . I bought my PC Engine and part one together and at a later date got part two (as I'm sure you'll know the game was split on to two Hu Cards sold seperatley) after seeing it running on a PC Engine in a games shop called Microbyte (Leeds, but they had a fair few branches) and being astounded that such a little machine could produce such magic. Just had a quick look in my games den and don't seem to be able to see the cards (though there's chaos aplenty in there) though the R Type Complete Super CD was right where it's meant to be

Yeah but doesn't that cd have, like, the most god awful dog ugly cutscenes ever. I can't get past the second level on the second hucard. Impossible. When was this microbyte knocking about in leeds?

Phantasy Star II. I was going to say "Sonic the Hedgehog", just because that's come on so many different "Sega Hits!" sorts of collections, and then I started counting.

I've got it on the Genesis, in the Dreamcast "Sega Smash Pack!", in both Sega Genesis collections (PS2 and PSP), on the GBA, and I bought the Japanese Sega Ages reissue.

So that's six, which is nothing really.

Ditto here, I couldnt get enough of this game. Oh and obligatory Resi & SF2 mention

Don't know for sure, but I've got a lot of copies of Mario 64.

I had it back in the day in PAL for my N64. I stupidly sold this alongside Banjo to fund the expansion pak some time ago. A few years ago I re-bought a cart-only copy.

Then, last year I downloaded the VC release and played it to completion. Yesterday I received a Hong Kong N64 through the post which came with an HK copy of Mario 64, no less!

                  So:

                  2 x PAL
                  1 x VC/Wii
                  1 x NTSC-J

Hmmm now you mention it the CD does have some cutscenes, not that I've seen many of them as I bought it more as an add to my colletion item as opposed to being bought to play.

As for Microbyte they had a shops in Bradford (I remember that one for Master System Fantasy Zone), Leeds and Manchester, crashed my RD500 on the way to that Manchester whilst going to pick up Thunder Force III so strangely enough remember that one (Arndale Centre perhaps??) rather well!!

I've excluded Alpha series and SF3. Basically if Capcom port it, I'll buy it every time if it's on a console I own. Within the next three weeks I'll have SFII HD.

Also remembered that somehow, despite really not liking Shadow of the Colossus, I have:

Shadow of the Colossus with Nico DVD (JPN)
                            Shadow of the Colossus (ASIA)
                            Shadow of the Colossus (US)
Shadow of the Colossus (UK card version)

                            doh.

I'm now firmly in the 'multiple purchases' club with the Half-Life games:

Half-Life - bought when first out out ten years ago. I was sixteen and had a top-class Pentium MMX 233 with a 3Dfx Voodoo card

Half-Life PS2 version - bought in the early days of the console when there weren't many good games out.

Half-Life 2 Xbox Versoin - I hadn't had a gaming PC since the turn of the century so when this game out on the Xbox I was beside myself. It's a miracle how well they got this working on the relatively weak hardware.

                              Half-Life 2 in the Orange Box (360)

Half-Life for the PC again, just bought from Steam for $1.15 including tax

Half-Life 2 again, this time in the PC version of the Orange Box.
