Ha ha, sorry, I didn't mean to confuse.

Long-story-short: All these votes for Mario Galaxy on this thread has made me borrow a Wii to play it.

(However, it has to go back so No More Wii for me).

        No particular order:

        Vegas 1 (felt like a proper co-op S.W.A.T. team)
Lost Planet (Mechs, grappling hooks, great multiplayer)
Bioshock (Involving story, ingenious setting, tense atmosphere)
Call of Duty 2 (great multiplayer, cinematic story, many funny multiplayer moments)
Dead Rising (nothing else like it, Dawn of the Dead: the game, zombie massacre)

        Hang on, I'll tally up...

            In no order:

            Metal Gear Solid 4

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (yeah its old, but when this game hit shelves it was AMAZING!)

            Prince Of Persia

            Rock Band/2

Call Of Duty 2 Still no Call Of Duty or FPS IMO has been as good as this game. Amazing all around.

My top 5 this generation in no particular order:

Call of Duty 4 - Lost many, many hours of my life to the multiplayer mode of this

Skate - Awesome controls that made great use of dual analogue sticks. I'll only stop playing it once Skate 2 arrives.

Gears of War - My first real foray into the realm of HD gaming, still looks incredible today.

SSFIIHDR - Simply because of how well it plays online, hopefully this will bring back 2D fighters in a big way. I suspect this choice will probably get replaced by SF4 next year though.

Mario Galaxy - Best Mario game since Mario 64.

                1. Mario Kart Wii - An amazing amount of content - both fresh and retro. It's such a fun, happy, good looking experience.

                2. MotorStorm PS3 - Has that over-the-top arcade vibe that I enjoy. The visuals are fast and effective. An immensely fun experience.

                3. Call Of Duty 4 360 - Awesome visuals - that run at a fantastic smooth rate. The action is intense - and it's simply a whole lot of fun.

                4. Ridge Racer 7 PS3 - Not amazing, but a solid arcade experience, that offers an adrenaline rush and feel-good vibes.

                5. Mario Galaxy Wii - Full of fun and wonder, it's the Mario game fans had been hoping for since Mario64.

I'm not a big fan of this generation. Can't think of many games I really like.

                      No real order to this:

Call of Duty 4 - had pace, awesome smooth visuals and sound.

Gears of War - loved the cover system and it just felt so damn chunky.

Uncharted - thought this was fantastic right until the zombies appeared. Despite that it still hits my top 5, wonderful to control and looked fantastic.

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction - great popcorn style game. Nothing too deep and complex, perfect after a hard day at work.

Oblivion - Wonderful sense of freedom, large detailed world and the cliched wow moment when you step out of the sewers.

A few honourable mentions too: LittleBigPlanet, Dead Space (it terrifies me but I'm persevering slowly and think its just awesome - when complete it may dislodge something from the list above) and FIFA09.
