Mark Rein was singing Sony's praises in a recent interview over the latter's relaxed stance on user-created content for UT3 and how it was a refreshing change from MS who won't permit it. There's also the clash over the Gears DLC - Epic wanted to give it away but MS didn't.

I wouldn't be surprised to see most of the Epic team leave and set-up shop under another name if MS bought them, unless they're given Bungie-style autonomy.

According to Kotaku the press release has already been leaked in europe and the game is due November.

Yeah people on NeoGAF have also reported some unknown Italian site have leaked it as November and Xbox 360 exclusive....

edit: President of Epic has just taken the stage and is talking about updates to the Unreal engine.... possible incoming?

We need a new thread for the key note, some stuff has been announced about XNA which is pretty neat (youtube of games, etc etc).

You can now do lots more things on-screen. Tech demo with "over 100" Locust enemies running around a typical Gears of War environment.

Lots of tech demos of the engine tweeks (destructible scenery etc ) but nothing on a sequel...yet...
