the problem is not Epic wanting people to only use the lancer but stopping people from 2 piecing. Ideally people should use the right weapon at the right time if your distant then its Lancer or Sniper, If your close then its shotty. The shotgun was never meant to be a weapon for equipping at all times.

Roadie Running should be mostly only ever used for retreating, finding cover or running to team mates. Never should it be used for just charging someone, if you stand your ground all that ever comes from that is melee+shotgun and your dead, doesnt make for good gaming.
Shotgun is a close combat weapon, it's always best for the sneaky and hiding, some guy comes running round and you rip them a new arse with the shotty, unless they have boomshoot and you havent noticed....

I'm sorry but I don't agree with the "you shouldn't be running in with shotgun" comments either, if I want to use the shotgun, why shouldn't I be able to. It's a close quarters weapon, so it would make sense to run in close to use it if I see people near by, but not walking distance. This is applicable to any game, call of duty, halo, any you can think of.
Please do not try to tell me how to play the game. I've been playing it long enough to know when to use weapons.

I agree though, the amount of chargeable DLC they have released for this is way more than the norm. However I do think the Road to Ruin campaign mission sounds interesting.

You know my opinion on the Epic DLC 360 debacle already....
This bit just makes no sense:
The retail release is titled Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection and will contain all previously released Gears of War 2 add-ons as well as the seven new maps and campaign chapter. It will have a price of $19.99 in the US (or ?14.99/?19.99 in Europe) and will be released July 28.
If you already have purchased and downloaded the previous map packs and don't want to double up, the new content will be available separately as its own download. It will carry the title Gears of War 2: Dark Corners and have a price of 1600 Microsoft points (US $19.99).
Isn't DLC meant to be cheaper than retail because the overheads are insignificant? A $19.99 retail may we translate to an $15 actual price, and under $10 within a few months, while the DLC will sit at 1600 points / $19.99 forever.

Title Update 6 is done, probably just waiting for MS. Dunno if many people on here still play this online but I do and it seems like quite a big update.
Adds Social matchmaking, which lets you stay with your party and cycle through maps, quit without xp penalty (or gain) and join sessions in progress.
And also supposedly changes the shape of the shotgun pellet to make damage more consistant and Improves client-side hit detection for ballistic weapons.
