If there's a lesson in this - it's buy Rock Band. It's the only way to be sure.
I htink the biggest crime is listed here, using the wii remotes so they dont have to use as many parts in the instruments but still charging as much....very odd...

I guess it was a bit of an over reaction. I was just very let down that i needed a wii mote for the mic, even though i already had 2 asigned (one to a guitar and one to drums) meaning the my promised band set up on new years day could not happen

Did they change it since Rock Band 1 Wii then? The guitar and drums on that can be used to select. My nephew and nieces only have 1 controller and they all can play Rock Band just fine.

Nintendo wont let 3rd parties make wireless acessories and so every instrument needs to be technically a variation on the classic controller. If bluetooth was included in the Wii acessories then the price would be much higher, that's why the wireless PS3 instruments use a dongle to keep the costs down.

I thought the Rock Band stuff used a USB dongle instead like the PS3, no remote required?

Strapped rockers should probably plump for that instead. It is the better game.
