Likewise, I hadn't changed mine but both 3D Dot Game Heroes and now Red Dead Redemption arrived as a normal packet.

I think orders default to standard first class now, I had to select recorded from a drop box, my 3D Dot Game Heroes arrived recorded anyway when I did that.

If I'd paid the ?49.99 most people are charging for this, I'd feel very very angry! Even the soundtrack is a f*cking download!

I'm not going to be using the code for a while anyway, I feel as though they are cheat codes! Uber horse, super dead-eye and golden guns to get more fame...they are just cheats and I'd rather play the game as it was intended, developing my character and skillset slowly.
Woah, glad I cancelled my LE and went for the normal version - which is odd as normally I'm a complete sucker for this kind of thing. But the fact that one of the three bits of DLC I was getting as a pre-order bonus anyway meant it didn't seem worth it at all.

It seems like they hadn't planned an LE, but when they realised how big this game could be, they quickly rushed one out.

Pharfetchd I think you are right actually, it now defaults to std shipping.

Brats, yeah, you dodged a bullet...it's really poor. Just the standard edition with a cardboard slipcase over it and a DLC code leaflet in the box.

I'm disgusted as well - what a complete waste of £10. To be fair, the slipcase isn't that bad and some people may find the "cheats" useful, but £10 for those "extras" is ludicrous. It's times like these I remember why I vowed never to buy another "limited edition" - though I caved this time.

Someone asked in the First Play thread whether you can turn the golden guns off. Does anyone know the answer? I don't think anyone had replied.

Just got the game from Tesco, should I have been given a points card with the game or is there a code somewhere I haven't found?

I read somewhere the boxes with microsoft points were in the games section in standard xbox game case. You may need to nip back to pick it up

I am sure they will, I reckon the live points would show on receipt with ?0.00 so they can see you forgot to get them

It suddenly occured to me that this is GTA on horses and I've never really liked and GTA game so there's no reason beyond "ooh it's cowboys!" that I'll like this. Gonna sit back and wait for long(er) term impressions.

That's hit me too. I played GTA4 for 2 hours back on release and just couldn't face the complexity of it all. I don't think this will grab me like Lost Planet 2. I am a sucker for big set piece scripted battles. Not got enough game time these days to spend wandering around looking for missions and such

Yep. Borderlands bored me too. I'm not sure open-world is for me. I'm dying to have a go on it still.

It's not complex. It shows you on the map where the next missions are and you can teleport to locations you have already visited. Most of the tasks are one after the next, although sometimes you get involved in subquests while riding along (people by the side of the road ask for your help etc). You never get stuck wondering what to do next.
