Just picked up the game and notice it's a limited edition and it says:

The Deadly Assassin Outfit
John marston's "deadly assassin" outfit causes your dead eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed. With more dead eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight.
The War Horse
There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of red dead redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the exclusive war horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the war horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation.
The Golden Guns Weapon Pack
The player who wields the exclusive golden guns receives more fame for each kill. The more fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available. So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less.

Does this mean that effectively you get "Cheats" with the LTD Ed? That seems silly to me. I remember playing Dead Space from scratch and reading in first play that some started with a Lvl 6 suit they got as DLC, their experience was far less scary than mine, with the limits and tactics of building my stats.

I don't see the point of these cheat DLC's!

:capcom that sucks. Any extras you get for Ltd edition should just be cosmetic enhancements at most IMO.

Those limited edition bonuses are almost as bad as buying a guide with a new game and proceeding to play said game with guide in hand.......... I mean, whats the point in that? It's like painting by numbers......... taking away all the challenge and fun!

Afaik the only actual extra is the soundtrack cd? As all of the DLC perks you pick up in game over time anyhow. I was very tempted to get the L.E. purely for the DLC but couldn't justify the extra money on what is effectively a in game benefit anyhow, and I do not need more music! Would have been a nice horsey & threads to kick off with mind...

Still I have my Golden Gun code from amazon, but no game as yet

My ShopTo copy arrived today, though they've stopped sending things recorded to me it would seem.

To be more on topic, is anyone else disgusted at the "Limited Edition" version, which is the same as the normal one, but (RRP) £10 more and contains a DLC code? Seriously, Alan Wake shows how to do a collectors edition properly, and for a decent price.

If I'd paid the £49.99 most people are charging for this, I'd feel very very angry! Even the soundtrack is a f*cking download!

I'm not going to be using the code for a while anyway, I feel as though they are cheat codes! Uber horse, super dead-eye and golden guns to get more fame...they are just cheats and I'd rather play the game as it was intended, developing my character and skillset slowly.
