Not too sure whether this should be in shipping & arrivals, but has anyones Amazon order dispatched? I ordered 31st Dec 09 when the price was under ?24 and its still not processing

I have the the cheap preorder at Amazon too and it is listed as dispatching on the 4th (which is the same as it always has said). I believe that Amazon aren't the fastest at sending out preorders either so I wouldn't worry too much yet.

It should come, as already mentioned they are slow. Hence why I stopped using them for most stuff ages ago.

Me too. I pre-ordered Mass Effect 2 from Amazon the other month, that was using Super Saver Delivery and it was dispatched on the Thursday and turned up on Saturday (2nd Class post). So if its the same this time around, your looking at Saturday I reckon

I say 'new' because it is in fact an existing Conquest map being made available to Rush and vice versa, free to those who have entered their VIP code.

Regarding Map Pack 2, as they are on the disc I take it there is no download involved so no Microsoft DRM, just EA's own server side validation with my account and VIP code like Map Pack 1?

i heard the map pack is available today to go head to head with MW2 map pack,is that true?

Yeah most likely as the VIP Map Pack 2 was due April 1st, they then brought it forward to today suddenly few weeks ago.
It works for them as they can pump out the word FREE for VIP members and it appears to be good value for money. The maps are already on disc but they are unlocking new gamemodes/map objectives, they play differently and a good idea that helps push the incentive of buying the game new.
Remember if you buy pre-owned without VIP code you have to pay 1200/psn £7-10? to access Map Pack 1 & 2.

It loks like they automatically download/unlock. I jumped on a game of Rush on the "new" map straight away without even knowing this was "out".

Would be nice to see free maps, happened with Bad Company where 2 single player levels were modified for multiplayer, maybr that's how they will get around it.

I've been to the in-game store and noticed that the first two TBA items directly underneath the SPECACT kits have got "VIP" in the price column. I've seen a birds-eye-view map of Port Valdez with Conquest bases marked on it, so even more maps or something different this time?

The SPECACT packs are on the Xbox.com Marketplace now, but it's 480 MS Points for the bundle and not the 440 MSP quoted in the Battlefield Blog. It's only 860 KB, so we're paying for an unlock.
