let's not forget the sound, which puts Modern Warfare's poor, 8-bit-like sound samples to shame. firing a weapon produces strong, authentic sounds when fired, bullets produce sounds of sonic and impact echo. most satisfying.

edit: just watched the SP footage - awesome stuff, i always loved the huge, open and detailed environments of BFBC and the action seems even intensified here. can't wait. any news in respect to co-op modes?

The actual environments in that singleplayer playtrhough easily put MW2 to shame with their blocky BSP style buildings.

I prefer the larger environments in BF too, it allows for much more variety in play. Personally I like a slow skulk around the map and popping up near their base.
They've really tightened up the close quarter combat and you actually know if you are hitting people. I always felt it was very flakey but no more

I didn't mind this, but i know a lot of people hated it so I am glad they have fixed it. As long as the game isn't opened up too much that we start getting even more annoying kiddies, modders and glitchers.

Part of the hook of Battlefield is that it keeps out most of the rabble.

It is different level from the ps3 closed beta, it's still just as good.

I hope it's the demo that Dice have been using for press events, the level set in a valley looked beautiful.

Has anyone downloaded it yet? What's it like?

I really liked BF2 & BFMC, hated bad company and didn't really get on with the beta for this but this demo is actually a lot of fun the vehicles feel right and seem really balanced, controls are decent, visuals are nice. You have to unlock a lot of the better gear and abilities so the game is meant to become more enjoyable the more you play it and unlock. Shame that you can't go prone any more or at least I couldn't figure out how. I just hope you can still call in air strikes/air raids like you could in BFMC as these were really cool. I was planning on giving this a miss but this demo may just have changed my mind.

hmm maybe I should have posted this in the first play thread..
