Too simple a poll for me. I can't pick one or the other honestly. 360 - all pal. PS3 - mostly pal. Or I guess local, rather than pal, if you know what I mean. But DS games and PSP games - mostly imports and they add up to far more games than the 360 and PS3 games. Wii - all import but by 'all' I mean about four.

Imports all the way, theres not one domestic game in there. However there are some english games in my collection but they are american games, i only buy games in english that don't come out in japan or games that are just too far above my reading level like phoenix wright 4.

If your a nintendo fan importing is a must or you'll be left with hardly any choice at all.

Fair enough, but a lot of Japanese games get released in the west, even some of the more niche titles. I can safely ignore the few that don't for the ease that buying local gives me.

I don't even buy region free games that are available on import for less money. I can't be arsed with having to sell them rather than trade them in or run the risk of them getting lost in the post. I'm done with that now.

PAL all the way these days. The last real import game I can remember buying and playing was PSO v2 for the DC, everything else has been region free type affairs so I don't count them.

Looking at my stuff I'm mainly pal. My 360 games, Wii, GBA, gamecube, PS1 and Xbox are all pal. I do have a fair amount of jap and american games but they are mainly retro goods (snes/super famicom, neo geo, some dreamcast, some ps2 and a smidging of others). D.S. is proberly half and half.

I haven't voted because it depends - if something on the current-gen machines there's basically no point to importing, since HD standard has removed the old PAL format issues and the release dates are now so close you wouldn't receive an import in the post before the UK release.

I do import Nintendo stuff however, due to their backwards attitude towards both TV tech and release dates. I buy import retro stuff as a rule as well. I'll also try to source a US copy of anything that's been censored although in practice that tends only to be Nintendo titles which I'm importing anyway.

                Mostly PAL for me.

If only because work means cheaper games!

My import collection is mostly made up of DC stuff with a fair few DS and PSP games to boot. Strangely, the majority of that is Jap - I own very few US games

For a while now I've only imported stuff that would never get a PAL release or had been stupidly delayed.

Since giving up on Nintendo and owning only a 360 it's been PAL all the way. It was all import before that but I have to say I much prefer PAL gaming. Being able to shop on the highstreet is so much easier and increasingly cheaper.

                    Roughly speaking...

                    85% Japanese
                    10% American
                    5% PAL

Nearly all imports apart from a few recent PS3 games and my Xbox stuff (approx 50% PAL).

Recently though, those figures have been the other way round due to worldwide release dates and crap ?/$ rate. The odd Japanese shmup is all I will buy from abroad at the moment.

It used to be about 80% NTSC to 20% PAL but there's very little need for it now with the PS3 being region free and outputting in HD.

It's probably about 95% UK to 5% import now. I'll usually import if the gap in release dates is a longer than I like or if the game isn't like to get a release over here. I've got a few US PS3 games but usually from when they were far cheaper over there and there was more of a gap between the release dates.

I've got a 3 or 4 Hong Kong/Japanese games too but I won't buy them often. I may be tempted to import Final Fantasy as there's a hell of a gap before we get it, I'm not really sure if I'll have the patience/time to sit through a whole RPG in a language I don't understand in the way that I used but as long as the prices aren't too silly I'd quite like to be playing without having to wait.
