    Why has nobody suggested Ninjatown?

As mentioned the DS has a huge number of games that you should own, i will put my list in order

Kirby: Power Paintbrush - IMO the best platform game on the DS
    Prof Layton - So compelling
Ninjatown - Unsung hero of the DS and was only a fiver in game not so long ago
Ouendan/2 -If you like rhythem games this is where it is at
Space Invaders Extreme 2 - Only out in Japan but 90% English
Puzzle Quest COTW - IMO the second one sucks (Galactrix)
Retro Game Challenge - extremely good idea for a game that is a bit of every genre
Wordjohng - only out in the US this is the game to get if your into word games
Bomberman 2 - The RPG style leveling up and upgrade system works well with great 1 card multiplayer modes

These are my DS unsung heroes. Of course you have your Zeldas and Marios aswell.

Interesting stuff, might get me back into that type of game (:

Is Bomberman 2 wifi enabled? That was what was lacking for me in the previous Bomberman

        Yes it is.

I would also say Rune Factory, but sadly they ruined the second one

Oh, Jesus, though I haven't properly touched my DS in a while it has to be my favourite console tied with the PS2. So, so, so many great games. Think of nigh on any genre and there's something worth chasing up. On the import side I second Tales of Hearts, plus Inazuma Eleven, Soma Bringer, the two Taiko No Tatsujin games and both Ouendans over Elite Beat Agents. If you're into slightly more obscure Japanese weirdness and don't mind struggling through the language barrier, the Mushishi game, Sakura Taisen DS, Nanashi No Game and Houkago Shounen are all worth a punt. Any stranger than that and I'm sure importotaku on here will be happy to oblige you.

Geometry Wars, the DS version actually works?

Meteos looks interesting, methinks there are quite a few more titles than I even thought to begin with!
Bangi-oh and nanostray are 2 different games. If you liked the original of the the former you will surley like the hand held iteration though as its the same just on a smaller scale really.

As for Nanostray 2, well its probabaly the best stright shmup on the system after Spance Invaders Extream and (im guessing) its sequel.

I preferred Nanostray 1 actually. Nanostray 2 felt just too complicated with the adjustable beams. Better challenges in 2 though. 2 hurt my hands for some reason as well.

my mum has played Wordjong every day for 15months now, she thinks she probably has the highest score of anybody in the world at it and credits it with her getting much better at Countdown !

Wordjong is excellent, it looks like it's going to be some rubbish shovelware junk, but it's really good. The daily challenges are really addictive.

A version with leaderboards would've been amazing.

                            I don't think I've used game.co.uk and I don't have a game in town. Actually I don't go into town
Play has never let me down, so I stick with it.

Has anyone mentioned Metroid Prime Pinball yet? Best pinball game I've played on any platform and has rumble. And the MP theme is very well integrated.

My current DS faves are Air Traffic Chaos, Diner Dash and Pokemon Link. When my missus plays Diner Dash she turns into an ogre, it is well funny. Playing it is like spinning plates. Graphically it sucks but the gameplay is proper bo. Air Traffic Chaos is like having a job as an air traffic controller. No wonder they have a high suicide rate! The Eurogamer review of it sums it up perfectly. Pokemon Link is fun puzzler with a nice new take on the Pokemon art style, and the familiar, feverish need to catch 'em all.
