My should be here from VGP in about an hour my only question is has anyone had any luck getting a free copy of Gran Turismo using a US system, or am i just being thick again and have no chance.

There's only really one thing that I don't like about it which has been mentioned already and it's not as if it's a new thing. Only being able to play games from one profile at a time is really annoying, if they changed it so that it worked like the PS3 with multiple profiles it would make it so much better.

I've got loads of PS1 games from 3 different regions and although I do play them on the PS3 I just don't see myself bothering with 2 of them on the PSP which is a shame.

I'm hoping that they do change it sometime but I'm wondering if there's a technical reason for them not doing it?

Aye, this is my biggest issue with it.

I use my US profile for all my PS3 games (it was the one I first set up when I got my PS3 before UK launch and have a UK PSN account to buy DLC and a JAP account to get some of the cool free stuff they get so I think when my Go arrives I'll set it up with the US account and just buy Network Cards to get the US games. The prices for the US games seem to be far more reasonable than ours too ($9.99 for Prinny!).

Slightly annoying to hear that the iPhone doesn't do Bluetooth tethering yet as that would have been an instant WIN way of changing profiles on the go.

I wonder if Apple will include it in a firmware update at some point?

I actually looked through the UMD games on my shelf yesterday and the majority of them belong to Mrs Teddy. I only actually own Lumines, Ridge Racer 2, Tekken, Every Extend Extra and Space Invaders Extreme. None of these cost much more than ?10 either so it's not like I'd be losing loads of money by dumping them in favour of the digital equivalents (when they eventually arrive!)

Are VGP shipping them out by courier? Looking at the ?20ish shipping charge I would assume as much but can you confirm?

Yep they're using DHL , missed my delivery yesterday picked it up this morning.

Yeah they are using courier, shipping was around $35 and it arrived in about 2 days so i can't complain.

Not a technical reason, but I don't see why they'd change it. You're not supposed to download stuff from Japan/the US when you're in Europe. You're supposed to get what you're given, that's why the stores are all different. They'll not add this functionality ever.

I think the idea with the PS3 is that multiple people will use a PS3 sitting underneath a TV, and hence you need eqasy access to multiple user accounts. The fact you can sign up for different regions is something of a loophole. As for the PSP the view is that it's a console for one person and hence there's no need to be able to change user accounts.

I've downloaded the Gran Turismo theme is that all I have to do to get the game?

sniff, my previous psp owning frenzy has caught up with me.

Cannot activate the one i have on my UK account and cannot download anything from te store. Sony are sorting it but not till the middle of next week.
it IS shiny though.
