      Thanks Full ~

So can I buy japanese games from the japanese PSN store and play on the same PSPGO as my UK PSN store account and have both on the machine?

I.e - just like the PS3 does the last time I checked.

Psp been my most played machine constantly for last 5 years. I bought each new model at launch and enjoyed the gradual upgrades. The go now has me as excited as I was back when I first ordered my jap 1000. Each to their own. I wouldn't dream of dropping £150 on dsi but £189 for psp go with gt portable is to me a good deal. I will be playing that game for months

Some interesting news on Daxter thats being released on PSN:
Daxter soon to hit PSN Store
            September 24, 2009
Our very first game, Daxter, has been approved for release in the US in its downloadable form on the PSN store.
Since this was our first downloadable game, we couldn’t resist adding a little extra for the fans so this will be the only version of the game running at full 333Mhz on PSP.
You won’t believe how smooth the frame rate is, it’s worth replaying the entire game just for that
            Enjoy!

well I'm ordering one on my way home I'm just a sucker for shiny stuff.
I think aside from a few games I'm keen to see what else it will get in terms of applications. I'd like to see it get a full on SatNav with a bluetooth handsfree feature

I suspect the main reason for bluetooth is to enable the PSP to be used as an I/O device for the PS3. Watch me be wrong lol!

Checked on Play.com and the Black version has following status:
in stock | Usually dispatched within 24 hours

Edit: checked my order status and it's still pending. Was hoping for an early delivery

So much **** that Sony are bringing games from the iPhone onto the PSP and PSN.

having seen the video, it does look slick.

                        however.

i cant help but feel that this could turnout to be an expensive mistake, for several reasons.
historically new electronics come out at a premium price and the early adopters enable later price drops which then further tempt the mass market. But who will these early adopters be? existing PSP owners is the target audience, but will those people buy another PSP which wont play the existing games they have. i dont think so, or at least not in the numbers sony hope.

i think that sony looking at getting in on iPhone app store frenzy is misguided. the app store is so successful because it is all so easy and cheap. look at the top 25 lists, majority % are 59p which has driven prices of other titles down in order to get into the top 25 to compete.
Will sony be able to offer the same level of purchasing easiness that the app store experience offers? no. i find the PS store unwieldy at best, and i seriously doubt that the same games will be as cheap on PSPGo.

mini gore was an ok distraction at 59p, and there will be regular updates.
will it be the same price and offer the same potential for updates that appstore offers ? we'll wait and see.

i do think that these minis will often suffer similar problems to DS ports to PSP, in that the touch/accelerometer interface is part of the enjoyment of the games. Although in fairness games that have a touch screen dual analogue stick control input will probably fare better.

i hope they prove me wrong, but I am the typical early adopter and im not getting one despite the offer of GT and 3 free downloads of games i own.
I want to wait and see what happens.
I want to know how i can back up the games on a PSPgo to my mac if my machine gets full. or do i have to re-download every time i want to put GT back on it? if it is all digital only, I want to know what I can / need to do with my portable. at least with my iphone i connect to the mac and its backed up. i need more space, i delete a game of the device and put it back whenever i want. we need more info.

Im guessing here, but i have a feeling that the GT and 3 free downloads offer will be extended much longer than they initially suggested, AND i fear it could be the lowest console launch figures in the uk for several generations.

Thanks for that, sounds like a mixed bag, It sounds to me the biggest grudge is still price and I fully agree. Not that it stops me from getting one!

Game Pause: During the course of any game you can bring up an option to permanently pause the title. This creates a save point exactly where you paused the game and allows you to turn off the system, watch movies and even play another game, without losing your place.
This will be a life saver for Lumines! Believe it or not this little feature has tipped me back over to wanting one again. I've had to give up on my current high score several times because i wanted to use the PSP for something else ><

Still no idea if Lumines is even going to be available though!

                                So:
                                a) we could make our game better for all those nice guys that have bought it already, but no, we won't.
                                b) however, if you've got custom firmware and have pirated it then that's cool, you lot can set it to 333mhz and enjoy.

                                Cheers!
