Surely they can just have a field in the database that says from which Device it was purchased. Then they just sort out the wheat from the chaff and bobs u're uncle.

I had a play tonight with TV cables etc. I'm not at all impressed with the PSP Go! but it's a new bit of kit so I'll mess around for a while. I set up using a PS3 pad and plugged the Go! into my TV and it was pretty cool, but of course it does look damn ropey Connecting a PS3 pad is a pain, you need to connect a pad and the Go! to a PS3 to set this feature up and once done it's tied to the PSP. If you plug the pad back into a PS3 to re-sync you lose the PSP feature and have to do it all over again..and it is a pain to do. Seeing how ropey Motorstorm was on the TV, I dont think I'll be hooking up to the TV anytime soon.

But you can D/L the theme via Media Go if you so wish. How would they know you don't have a PSP Go!?
          Kept you waiting, huh?

Give me the code and I will try it for you on my ole psp brick
Does that mean those of us who got the theme on other types of PSP will get a code and the game simply won't work?

If so, how long does the code last? If we buy Gos at a larmter date will it still be redeemable?

            So many niggly questions!

It says the theme will only work on a Go! and it clearly doesn't. Sony are lame, we know this. I'm quite sure I'll have GT running on my 3000 for free before the week is out.

There's a guide on how the offer works on the official PSP Go site.
Does this offer only apply to owners of a PSPgo?
Yes, if you download the Gran Turismo theme onto any other model of PSP, PlayStation 3 or your PC, you will not receive the Promotion Code. You must also download the theme before midnight on October 10, 2009.

Will the Promotion Code expire if I don't use it by a certain time?
It will expire if not used by October 1, 2010.

Is it possible to set up a US account and a UK account on one machine? I've been thinking of trading in my 70UMDs and just using the cash to buy a mixture of uk and us games.

I can switch between the accounts on the current PSP I have (think I have to link up the machine to my US ps3 first) and if I can do the same i'll get one.

From everything I have read it seems like the account system is identical to the original PSP, which is a shame. That means you can't change between users unless you 'return to home base' i.e. connect to your PS3, which isn't exactly the best system to use for a portable device.

That was Wednesday evening and it's already left the Midlands so I should get it today or Saturday. It usually takes longer than that to have stuff delivered from the UK.

Bloody impressed, I was expecting it to be a week or so.

I went on the US PSN store last night and a pile of games have been released digitally. There's a much better selection than on the UK store and the pricing for older stuff seems more sensible. US$15 for Disgaea, US$10 for Prinny etc is severely tempting. Not so sure about paying full price for more recent games though. At least in the UK most of the newer releases are at a discount to the fully boxed versions.
